Phil Hughes won't break camp with the Yankees this spring. But it might be his
time before long.

Phil Hughes的計畫安排...不會因為這次春訓表現改變...春訓結束還是會回小聯盟...
但卻有可能...會提早讓他上來大聯盟...

Joe Torre said he told Hughes recently: "At some point, somebody's going to
tap you on the shoulder and tell you it's your turn."

Torre說他最近告訴了Hughes:"這個時刻快要到了...將會有個人過去拍一拍你肩膀...
接著告訴你輪到你了..."

When that will be, Torre noted, will depend on how Hughes performs in the
coming months. The results and the health of those already in the Yankees'
rotation will factor in, too, but the 20-year-old's own performance will be
the deciding factor.

那會在什麼時候呢...將要視Hughes接下來的一個月而定...他的成績和他的健康情況...
都讓他在洋基的輪值列入因素...但是這個20歲小將的實質表現將會是決定的關鍵...

Hughes looked much more like the player that Baseball America ranked the top
righthanded pitching prospect in all of baseball yesterday than he did in his
first spring outing.

Hughes昨天的表現...跟他在春訓第一次出賽來比較...更像是Baseball America說的...
是個排行第一名的prospect...

Hughes allowed just one walk and one single in two innings of the Yankees' 6-5
loss to the Indians. He recovered nicely after each baserunner reached. After
walking David Dellucci, he picked him off. After giving up a single, he
induced a double play.

洋基6-5輸給了印地安人...Hughes在兩局的投球裡...送出了一次保送被打了一支安打...
他在壘上有跑者時恢復了他的實力...
保送David Dellucci以後將他牽制出局...被打安打以後也立刻製造一次雙殺...

"I'd be lying to you guys if I told you I didn't want to be in the big leagues,
" Hughes said.

Hughes說:"如果我告訴你說我不並不想要上大聯盟...那就是我在說謊..."

Still, he understands and appreciates the Yankees' position of how important
he is to the organization. Said Hughes of knowing he's got to wait a bit: "It
kind of takes a little bit of the weight off your shoulders."

然而...他不但了解並且讚賞洋基給他的安排...他對整個洋基來說是多麼的重要...
Hughes知道他還要再等待一下...並認為這可以稍微減輕他的壓力...

General manager Brian Cashman wants to make sure Hughes has sufficient time in
the minors.

球隊經理Brian Cashman...想要確定Hughes待在小聯盟夠充分才會考慮...

"If a young guy gets in the big leagues," Cashman said, "for the most part,
his development is complete."

Cashman說:"假如要讓年輕人上來大聯盟...最重要的...就是要他身心發展都健全..."



CCLu的部落格寫...差不多在3A丟個十場到十五場就會叫他上來...
然後再把Igawa or Pavano送到bullpen...這樣子算算...應該差不多六月就會上來吧...
可是...少打兩個月就少了07年新人王的競爭力...打了這四個月明年也沒資格了...
不知道會不會去在意這個獎項...不過長期發展對他有益的安排...這應該還是比較重要...

不知道有沒有人跟我一樣...不想要火箭人回到洋基呢...
他來了也只會壓縮到等待機會的農場投手...不但花了大把鈔票而且還投不滿一季...

拖字訣...到底有多好用呢?
04年在一月初簽約...談到的是5M/Y的合約...還有一大堆複雜的獎金公式...
05年因為前一年拿到賽揚...所以一月底簽了18M/Y的合約...創下最高投手薪資紀錄...
到了06年...四月五月都已經開打了...常常出現他的rumor...最後六月簽了22M/Y...
今年穿著太空人球衣訓練...跑到了紐約開記者會...又來佛州看洋基比賽...
不知道要到幾月...才會看他上正式比賽投手丘...投沒幾個月又開始渡起假來...

算了拉...把他的消息當作連續劇看就好了...
我們的農場裡面的投手...每個都是物超所值的好物阿...期待今年的Hughes唄...
