本來也想翻這篇的,不過實在來不及,還好有熱心人翻,真太好了!! 下面補幾個自己認為寫的不錯的讀者評論 ~ (偏正面的) BTW, these are Derek Jeter's words: "I don't think it really makes a difference what words you use -- frustrated, worried," Jeter said. "The bottom line is that we have to win. I don't sit around and worry about it, because every day we come in, you feel like we can win a game." Jeter feels that the current personnel has what it takes to turn around their underwhelming season, and what's more, he says he has little patience for those who aren't in agreement. "If you don't believe that, you should go home," Jeter said. "Everyone in here has to have the attitude that we have a better team than we've been playing like. We'll turn things around. You have to have optimism." I'm on your side, Captain. When DJ says he has little patience for those who aren't in agreement, do you think he reads this Blog? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Well, I see that it did get worse. 7-2. 2 runs against a guy with a 7+ ERA before tonight. And they let him go 7 2/3, when the most he had gone ALL YEAR was 6. Mattingly was doing an excellent job with these hitters the last couple of years. I still believe he has some input, but I really think he should return to the job full time. By no means do I see that as a knock on his job as bench coach. Some times "demotions" are needed to get the right people in the right positions. I had a thought after I turned off the game: has the team ever gotten "better" since Cashman got full control? Or has it just gotten worse? Now, you may make the claim that he was fighting a losing battle but... I'm not the greatest Yankee historian. During what years was Steinbrenner suspended from baseball? Was it, perhaps, during the poor 80's years? Maybe we DO need him making more of the decisions. I don't know, I'm just throwing out thoughts. By no means did my comments earlier about finding a new team to watch mean I'm going to stop being a Yankee fan, but I care too much about whether they win or lose. And when I see them playing this poorly, when they shouldn't be, I can't stand to watch and I make everybody around me miserable since I'm outwardly emotional. I'd rather my daughters not be hiding in their room because I'm watching a game. (Relax, I just yell a lot, nothing more. lol.) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Let's think about this situation for just a minute before looking to see heads roll. First, if they fire Cashman what immediate gain would happen? Would a new GM bring in a trade or two that will turn this around? Second, if they fire Torre, what immediate gain would happen? With as much as the core leadership of the Yankees love and admire Torre, I would think that it would kill any hope of a turn around. To them it would be like losing a father. Not making any judgement calls on Torre or on the players being professionals. Where I think we might see a positive change is if Mattingly went back to batting coach. I don't think this would be a knock on him, but they were not this bad with hitting last year. Mattingly has said that he bites his tongue with giving advise about hitting. That is a strength of his. You can make adjustments next year to move Mattingly up. Most likely he will be Manager. Torre should hand some of the pitching management to Guidry. Allow Guidry to pick when to pull, who to put in. Maybe the same things will happen, but are these decisions Torre or Guidry? I think the Yankees have the best chances of getting a trade using Melky. I don't really want to see that, as he is young enough and has some talents. Of course, if Torre is fired, we can always see if Buck Showalter can come here for the remainder of the season then get rid of him. After all, every team he has managed seem to win after he is gone. -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 61.228.33.38
