NEW YORK -- Roger Clemens is well aware of the Yankees' struggles this
season.

bottom of the division, riding a five-game losing streak and sitting 14
1/2 games behind arch-rival Boston at 21-29.

all the help I can."

Just as the Rocket finished his statement, Johnny Damon smacked the sixth
pitch of the game for a home run and a Yankees lead, sending the crowd
watching the Yankees-Blue Jays game on a big screen into a frenzy.

就在火箭人剛剛說完時，大門一開賽就把第六球轟出全壘打牆外，帶領球隊領先，
也使得公園裡，透過大螢幕看著洋基藍鳥賽況的球迷們為之瘋狂。

The homer also brought some excitement to the 44-year-old Clemens, who
pointed to his wife, Debbie, seated in front of him and said "See, see?"

這支全壘打同時也讓四十四歲的克萊門斯興奮了起來。他對著坐在他前面的老婆黛
比說：「看到了嗎？看到了嗎？」

Clemens will officially get his first chance to help the Bronx Bombers in
Chicago on Monday, with the Rocket's 2007 debut confirmed by manager Joe
Torre before Wednesday's game in Toronto after Clemens threw a successful
bullpen session at Yankee Stadium earlier in the day.

為了幫助洋基的窘境，克萊門斯本季首次對陣，將是星期一的白襪。這也在星期三

After one start each at Class A Tampa and Double-A Trenton, the Rocket made
his final Minor League start Monday for Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. He

The Yankees were considering throwing Clemens in this weekend's series in
Boston. But the Yankees already have their top three starters -- Chien-Ming
Wang, Mike Mussina and Andy Pettitte -- lined up for the Red Sox series.

洋基曾經想過本週的基襪戰讓克萊門斯上來。不過對基襪戰，洋基已經有了三大先
發輪值了 -- 王建民，穆帥以及派提特。

The topic came up during a phone conversation between Clemens and Torre on
Tuesday night.

在星期二晚上時，克萊門斯以及托瑞通了電話。

"I said I felt fine and would do whatever he wants me to do and whatever he
needs me to do," Clemens said. "We were looking at the rotation, and I
realized that they looked like they're lined up pretty good for Boston."

And what of the extra drama if Clemens had made his debut in Fenway Park
this weekend, for the team he broke into the Majors with?

"There's drama wherever I go," Clemens said. "Every start that I pitch --
if it's a Wednesday in Minnesota or a businessman's special -- it's
important to me."

克萊門斯說：「不論去哪，都是我的舞台。每次我投球的時候，不論是任何時候對上
任何一隊，對我來說都很重要。」
