A-Rod 再度成為注目焦點

The Blue Jays are not pleased with Alex Rodriguez. They said he yelled, “
Mine!” as he passed behind Howie Clark in the ninth inning. Clark backed off
the pop-up and it led to the Yankees scoring three runs.
藍鳥對A-Rod極度不滿，他們說在第九局，A-Rod經過Clark背後時，喊了句︰“Mine!”
當時Clark正準備後退接高飛球，以便讓洋基出現第三個出局者。

“I’ve never seen it happen, maybe I’m naive but I thought it was a
bush-league play. That’s not Yankee pride right there,” Toronto manager
John Gibbons said.
“或許我太天真，但我想這是次等比賽才會發生的情節，那不是驕傲的洋基所會做的
事情。”藍鳥教頭Gibbons說道。

Clark said that in all his time in baseball, he had never experience such a
thing.
Clark說在他的棒球生涯裡，他從未經歷過像今天這樣的事情。

Rodriguez said he yelled, “Ha!” because, “I was excited running around
third base. I don’t know what my intention was.”
A-Rod 說他喊的是“Ha!”，因為“要跑到三壘讓我很興奮，當時我也不知自己喊的目的
是什麼。”

Why he would be excited running around third base as the final out was going
to be made is uncertain.
為何當第三個出局數正要出現前，他還覺得跑向三壘會令他感到興奮？
這是我們無法確定的。(感謝協助 ^_^)

It’s up to you to decide whether it’s gamesmanship or poor sportsmanship.
I’ve covered baseball games for about 25 years now and I’ve never seen a
runner do that. The only time you see it is when a catcher is chasing down a
ball near the dugout and the guys inside yell.
照你的意思決定那是否為攪亂戰術，亦或缺乏運動家精神。
我接觸棒球比賽約有25年之久，而且我從未見過一個跑者做過那樣的事。
見過類似的例子是，一個捕手正準備接住一顆靠近對手休息區的球，而那裡面的人員
全部都在大喊。

Joe Torre, Johnny Damon and other Yankees didn’t seem to know what to say
about it.
Torre、Damon和其他洋基人，對於這件事都不知該說些什麼。

“You know … I don’t know what to feel for it. It’s baseball. It’s not
like he said, ‘I got it,’ ” Torre said.
“你知道…對這事我不知道應該有何感受，它是棒球。他說的話也不像‘I got it,’
”Torre說道。

Torre would never criticize his own player on the record for something like
that.
Torre從不評論自己手下球員的表現，及類似像那樣的事。

The Yankees play Toronto again on July 16. Just a prediction, I’m going to
guess Rodriguez gets hit by a pitch that day.
洋基 7/16 將再度拜訪多倫多。
預言︰我猜測那天A-Rod 將會得到一個觸身球。

One thing is sure, the guy is always at the center of something.
有件事是我確定的，“那人”經常成為受人注目的焦點。
