: Clippard walked three and struck out two in the five-hit effort, and he has
: been reached for 11 earned runs in his last two starts. The performance
: ensured that his next assignment will come for the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre
: Yankees.

 他的表現讓教練團確定將他下放到3AScranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees

: "I just told Clippard that we certainly appreciate what he's done since he's
: been here," Torre said. "It's more important that we don't lose this year for
: him. I think it's important that he just goes back to Scranton and gets
: himself in a better routine for him right now."

: Before Darrell Rasner fractured his right index finger in a start last month,
: Clippard's tenure was originally intended to be for just one start, then
: right back to Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. One night turned into nearly a month,
: and for those experiences, Clippard is thankful.
: "It was a big learning process for me," Clippard said. "I can take a lot away
: from it. Obviously, you don't want to get sent down, but it happens to a lot
: of guys. I'm just going to try to learn from it and get back here as soon as
: I can."

 Clippard六場出賽中獲得的勝利可以說是預期之外的勝利，而他也在這六場出賽中
 獲得經驗，讓自己成為一名更成熟的投手(感謝^^catpig大)
 上個月Darrell Rasner食指骨折後將Cippard叫上大聯盟，原本只是希望他只先發一場
 後就回3A，Clippard說很感謝教練團讓他從原先的一個晚上出賽變成在大聯盟將近
 一個月，讓他獲得了許多的經驗
 Clippard說 這對他來說是個很重要的學習過程，讓我難以忘懷。我重回3A調整後

: While the Mets' bullpen faltered in relief of Glavine, serving up four more
: runs, the Yankees' bullpen picked the middle innings to shine. In the midst
: of dodging another five stolen bases from the hyper-aggressive Mets,
: once-maligned reliever Luis Vizcaino whittled off 1 2/3 scoreless innings to
: put himself in line for the victory.

  當大都會後援無力協助Glavine並丟掉了超過四分，洋基中繼投手 Luis Vizcaino
  在1.2局投球中成功封鎖了大都會的打線攻擊(即便他們瘋狂的盜壘試圖搶下分數)

: After working on his release point with closer Mariano Rivera, Vizcaino may
: finally be back in Torre's trust circle. Vizcaino said that his fastball and
: slider have proven more effective with Rivera's tweaks, and he has now been
: unscored upon in four consecutive appearances.
: "I've been feeling good," Vizcaino said.

: Farnsworth for the eighth inning. Before the Mets scored off Farnsworth, with
: Mets shortstop Jose Reyes driving home Gotay on a sacrifice fly, Yankees
: relievers had strung together 21 1/3 scoreless innings, dating back to June 8
: against the Pirates.

: Even with the game apparently on ice, the Yankees endured two scares in the
: ninth inning. Both involved Rivera, who loaded the bases by surrendering

: right calf, bringing home the Mets' seventh run.
: Reyes continued to be a thorn in the Yankees' side by working a deep at-bat
: and then lacing a run-scoring single to center, putting the go-ahead run at
: the plate before Carlos Beltran fouled out near the third-base dugout.

: The rally served as just one more reminder that these intracity Interleague
: games tend, more often than not, to vary from the script. With each club
: pocketing one victory heading into the series finale on Sunday, finding their
: enthusiasm promised to be no difficult task.
: "The fans get into it when you're playing in New York," Jeter said. "You hear
: about it everywhere you go, on the streets -- Mets fans telling you how bad
: you are, Yankees fans telling you that you need to win. It's probably as
: close as you can get [to the postseason]."
