Some of the Yankees will be back in San Francisco in two weeks for the All-Star
 Game, but they're making a good first impression in the Bay Area.
The Yankees will take on the Giants for Game 2 of the Interleague Series with s
tarter Chien-Ming Wang on the mound.

Wang has never faced Barry Bonds, or pitched in AT&T Park for that matter, but
the Yankees right-hander is a phenomenal pitcher no matter what the conditions.
 In his last start against the Mets, he struck out a career-high 10 and recorde
d his seventh consecutive quality start in which he has allowed three earned ru
ns or less while lasting at least six innings.

In his last three starts, Wang has allowed a combined two walks, which is bad n
ews for Bonds.

Pitching matchup
NYY: RHP Chien-Ming Wang (7-4, 3.33 ERA)
Wang picked up his third straight win and struck out a career-high 10 batters a
gainst the Mets in his last start on Sunday. Wang has lowered his ERA considera
bly since May 16, when it was 5.40.

SF: RHP Matt Morris (7-4, 3.21 ERA)
Morris' stretch of eight consecutive quality starts ended Sunday at Boston, whe
re he yielded eight runs in four innings. Morris faced the Yankees during Inter
league Play twice before, while pitching for the St. Louis Cardinals, posting a
n 0-1 record with a 6.75 ERA.

Player to watch
Bobby Abreu is 8-for-23 against Morris with a .609 slugging percentage. Abreu h
as homered off Morris twice and collected five RBIs.
