: person, it was enough for him to put Wang in place with Webb and Toronto's
: Roy Halladay as the game's premier sinkerball pitchers.
要從去年國聯賽揚獎得主Brandon Webb手上得分果然就如預期的一般十分困難，

: last Wednesday in Chicago. In his last six starts, Wang has allowed three
: earned runs or fewer, good for a 2.30 ERA during that stretch.

: reached a significant milestone this season, .500. New York won its seventh
: straight, its longest since a 10-game run May 7-17, 2005, and brought its
: record to sea level for the first time since 16-16 on May 9.
王建民整場比賽唯一的缺點就是在第四局一顆紅中的四縫線速球讓

Chad Tracy打出陽春全壘打，這是自從5/5面對西雅圖水手隊的Ben Broussard

破壞他完全比賽的那隻全壘打後的第一支，同時也是在六次先發當中,47又1/3局之後

因為全壘打而失的分數，然而這場比賽還是要感謝Bobby Abreu即時關鍵打擊，

還有隊長Derek Jeter的防守美技，小王的戰績目前提升到6勝4敗，同時洋基隊也達成

這個球季重要的里程碑--0.500的勝率。洋基隊目前七連勝，這也是自從

2005/07/17的十連勝之後洋基隊最長的連勝紀錄，同時也讓洋基能夠在今年

5/09達成五成勝率(16剩16敗)之後，能夠再嘗突破五成勝率的滋味。

: belief that this stretch of baseball isn't transitory.
: "When you win, you don't feel like you're going to lose. And that's the
: interesting part about it," said Joe Torre. "Tonight you knew you were going
: to have your hands full because of who you were facing."
: On Wednesday, it wasn't Paul Maholm or Shawn Chacon dealing from 60 feet, six
: inches. It was Webb, off seven shutout innings and a winner of three
: straight, so Yankees needed to dent him early and count on Wang to make it
: stand.

讓老虎對可以保持在排行榜上維持平盤，不過在考慮到不久前(5/29)的洋基隊還是以

14又1/2的勝場差在美聯東區並列墊底，並且在abreu跟Jeter都對五成的勝率覺得小意思

時，有一個信念已經慢慢的產生了...那就是這個轉變絕對不會是一時的。

在禮拜三，勝利的投手不是Mahom或是Chacon，這兩個站在投手丘上的人，

而在面對是Webb，在前一場投出了七局無失分表現，並且最近有著三連勝佳績的投手，

洋基隊必須儘早對Webb造成傷害，然後仰賴小王帶領洋基對抗響尾蛇。

: never get to see the other guy, it's tough. We were scratching and clawing

: smiles, Wang told him "Good job." Jeter replied that he did him a favor.
: "I just told him thanks for not letting him hit it on the ground, because I
: might have gotten killed if he hit it on the ground," Jeter said.
