Jason Giambi is on his way back. Here is a blurb from The AP:

大吉就要回來了

New York Yankees slugger Jason Giambi took batting practice Saturday for the
first time since hurting his left foot and is hoping to rejoin the team by
early next month.

砲管大吉在左腿傷後 希望下月初盡速歸隊

“Maybe a little sooner just depending on how fast things go,” Giambi said
after a two-hour workout. “I have no pain. That’s going to be the biggest
part. Everything is great so far” (source).

大吉說：我很舒服 沒病沒痛了 郎金賀

Giambi hasn’t played since May 30.  On that date, the Yankees won 10-5 and
improved to a record of 22-29.  That day was significant in that the Yankees
began to discover themselves, as they went on a tear to get over .500 before
slumping again.  It was also significant in that Melky Cabrera got consistent
playing time, as Johnny Damon was able to DH and Cabrera was able to play
center field.

大吉從5月30號之後比賽缺席至今

Since May 30 and before today’s game, Cabrera is batting .329 with two home
runs and 17 RBIs.  He has 56 hits in 170 at-bats.

這段時間小卡布表現不錯

So what happens when Giambi inevitably comes back?  The Yankees are paying
him too much money for him to sit out, so he’ll be in the lineup so long as
he’s cleared to play.

所以大吉回來時不知道會有什麼化學變化?

Do the Yankees sit Damon?  Damon is a defensive liability, game two of the
doubleheader notwithstanding.  He is also batting .238 with a slugging
percentage remarkably lower than his on-base percentage.  He, like Giambi, is
also making a ton on money.

洋基會讓大門去休息休息嗎?  即使他這兩天有很秋的防守  但是他砲管很久都沒開 XD

That brings us to Cabrera.  For the second year in a row, he is proving to be
a spark to the lineup.  Last year when Gary Sheffield and Hideki Matsui went
down with injuries, Cabrera filled in quite nicely.  When both came back from
injuries, however, all the rhythm was gone and the Yankees struggled with
Sheffield learning first base on the fly.

再來談談小卡布  去年雨刷跟馬祖受傷時 他適時的填補了打線的空虛 表現的很好
當兩支受傷的大砲再度回到打線時  反而整個節奏都亂掉了

I fear that the same thing could happen this year.  Cabrera could stay in the
outfield, but the DH spot is clogged.  Giambi will most likely be the
everyday DH.  The Yankees can’t just place Damon on the disabled list, like
some fans are suggesting.  The problem is simple: he is not hurt.  He is
running fine and his bat is slowly picking up.

我很擔心這種情形今年會再度重演 小卡布留在外野是OK 但大吉一定是天天DH的人選
那大門呢? 沒病也沒痛 能飛身撲接 腳骨也還很軟Q  球迷說：那幹麻要放DL?

If he is indeed able to start hitting, the situation looks better.  However,
Cabrera is useless as a bench player because he only plays well with
consistent at-bats.  Let’s look at the numbers.  From the beginning of the
season to May 28, Cabrera was batting .215 with two home runs and 14 RBIs.
 He had 28 hits in 130 at-bats.

小卡布一直以來都表現的粉好 你忍心讓他坐板凳嗎?

Hideki Matsui and Bobby Abreu’s jobs are safe in the corner outfield spots,
unless Joe Torre wants to move Matsui to center and have Damon play left
field.

至於馬祖和阿布的工作就不用擔心 除非托瑞要把馬祖調中間 然後大門去左外野



揪~竟~ 這打線要怎麼安排才好呢? 真是傷腦筋 XD
