dropped to 2-3. He hasn’t won since beating the Red Sox in relief on April
28. Though the Yankees are going to stay with five starters despite Monday
being an off day, it will take a miracle for Igawa not to be replaced by Phil
Hughes the next time his turn surfaces. Hughes is slated to make his final
minor-league rehab start Sunday for Scranton/Wilkes-Barre (Triple-A).

After scoring 25 runs in the first three games of the series and batting a
robust .342 (39-for-114), the Yankees figured to eventually cool off.
