Fascinating Factoids on A-Rod and the Yanks

重點: A-Rod和洋基球員達成的神奇紀錄
1. A-Rod週五晚在同一場比賽中同時打出生涯第1,500分打點, 也得到他生涯第1,500分。
2. 打出54發全壘打和154打點後, A-Rod本季是生涯首次打出比他的全壘打多出100分的
打點。
3. 洋基連續8個球季打出200支以上的全壘打, 這也是大聯盟的紀錄。
4. 洋基隊本季成為從1950年波士頓紅襪隊之後, 首支有7位球員至少得到90分的球隊。
5. 洋基隊連7個球季贏了90場以上的比賽, 從1947-58年的洋基隊後就再也沒有一支球
隊打出這樣的成績, 另外一支達成此一紀錄的是1904-12的小熊隊。
6. Mike Mussina已經連16個球季至少拿到10勝。過去達成此一紀錄的球員(Gregg Maddux,
Cy Young, Steve Carlton, Don Sutton, Warren Spahn, Nolan Ryan), 除了Maddux是
現役球員以外都進到了名人堂。
7. Robison Cano用比Jeter更少的打數達到生涯的500支安打。Cano也讓他今年的保送超
過去年的兩倍以上, 從去年的18次增加到39次。

from the Yankees:
– Alex Rodriguez drove in his 1,500th run and scored his 1,500th run in the
same game tonight.
– With 54 homers and 154 R.B.I., Rodriguez has 100 more R.B.I. than homers
for the first time in his career.
– The Yankees have hit 200 home runs in eight consecutive seasons, a major
league record.
– The Yankees are the first team since the 1950 Boston Red Sox to have seven
players score 90 runs.
– The Yankees have won 90 games in seven consecutive seasons. No team has
done that since the 1947-58 Yankees. The only other team to do it was the
1904-12 Cubs.
– Mike Mussina has 16 consecutive seasons with at least 10 victories. Every
other pitcher who has done that (Greg Maddux, Cy Young, Steve Carlton, Don
Sutton, Warren Spahn, Nolan Ryan) is in the Hall of Fame, except Maddux, who
is still playing.
– Robinson Cano has reached 500 career hits in fewer at-bats than Derek
Jeter. Cano has also more than doubled his walk total from last year (18) to
this year (39).
