季後賽投手輪值出來了

Torre sets playoff rotation; Wang in Game 1

Game 1: Chien-Ming Wang

Game 2: Andy Pettitte

Game 3: Roger Clemens

A few of us waited down on the field until the end of batting practice to get
a reaction from Wang.

“I’m happy,” the right-hander said. “Everybody on this team works hard
and anybody could be it.”

Wang has not faced Cleveland this season. I asked him what he thought of the
Indians.

“They have a good team,” he said. “But the Yankees are better.”

Pregame chatter: The coaches met with Torre before the game to put together
the postseason roster. Here is what we do know: There will be 11 pitchers and
Phil Hughes and Mike Mussina will be on the roster. Mo Rivera, Kyle
Farnsworth, Luis Vizcaino and Joba Chamberlain are on. That leaves four
players for two spots: Ross Ohlendorf, Ron Villone, Edwar Ramirez and Jose
Veras. It sounds like they haven’t made up their minds yet. The position
guys are who you would expect it sounds like. Shelley Duncan will be there
and probably a pinch runner type, likely Bronson Sardinha.
