Saturday's Triple-A box score
The Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees played to a 6-6 tie on Saturday.
The Yankees used Chien-Ming Wang, Jorge Posada and Nick Swisher.
The Triple-A Pirates ended two innings before the third out because
their pitcher was out of pitches. That's a pretty even swap.
A few notes that won't show up in the stats...

Chien-Ming Wang gave up two home runs in the first inning. Both should have
been flyouts to left but the wind was almost as bad Saturday in Tampa as it
was Friday in Bradenton. One of the other runs scored off Wang came after a
double in the fourth when the wind blew the ball over Nick Swisher's head.
He was relieved by Zach Kroenke (left) with two on and no outs in the sixth.
Kroenke did well with two groundouts and a strikeout to end the inning, but
he did let one of Wang's runners score.

The Pirates abruptly ended the bottom of the second inning after a two-out
single by Luis Nunez, then they ended the fifth after a two-out walk by
Nunez. Both were long innings in which the Yankees had already scored at
least two runs.

The home run by Edwar Gonzalez might have been helped by the wind, but it
was probably going out anyway. He hit it good. The Eric Duncan home run
wasn't helped by the wind much at all, he just crushed it to right-center.
Swisher's home run was a fly ball, and he joked as he came into the dugout,
"Gotta love that wind, bro." After Gonzalez hit his homer, Swisher said to
no one in particular, "That one was legit."
Edwar Gonzalez的全壘打可能是靠風吹出去的，但他打得不錯，若無風它可能還是
會出去。Eric Duncan的全壘打因為他打得很好所以就算風有幫助應該也不是主因，

The last hit off Wang was a grounder that took a bad hop past Kevin Russo at
second. I had a bad angle on the play and asked Ian Kennedy if he thought it
should have been an error. "If Russo was supposed to catch it, he would have
caught it," Kennedy said. He's not the first guy to say great things about
Russo. The other players seem to really think of him as a gamer.

Emerson Landoni is credited with a run because he came in as a pinch
runner after Posada's double in the second inning and later scored on
Duncan's home run. Posada still caught and hit in the next two innings.

I'm listing Posada and Swisher as the Nos. 8 and 9 hitters because that's
where their replacements hit later in the game. In reality, Posada hit second
and Swisher hit third in each of the first four innings, then Swisher stuck
around to get one more at-bat, hitting third in the fifth inning as well.
