[新聞] Yankees' Molina placed on disabled list

As expected, Yankees catcher Jose Molina has been placed on the 15-day
disabled list with a left quad strain and has been replaced on the roster by
Triple-A catcher Kevin Cash.

Molina suffered a Grade 2 strain in his left quad during New York's 8-6 loss
to Tampa Bay on Thursday. The veteran backstop was filling the starting spot
of Jorge Posada, who was placed on the DL earlier this week with a hamstring
injury.

"We're hoping it's two weeks, but we will see," GM Brian Cashman told the New
York Post of Molina's injury.

The two catchers on the Yankees roster are now Cash and Francisco Cervelli,
who had been called up from Double-A Trenton to replace Posada.

Cash has played seven games for Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, going 9-for-18 despite
battling some right-shoulder trouble himself.

Pitcher Mark Melancon was also sent out to make room for Alex Rodriguez on
the active roster but a move is still needed to clear space on the 40-man
roster.
