[新聞] Girardi in Verbal Tussle With Red Sox Base Coach

    Joe Girardi在Hughes第四局投球時, 走到休息室的另一端對著紅襪的一壘教練Tim
Bogar吼叫著, 而Bogar也不干示弱的回嘴。Girardi指稱Bogar在偷Jose Molina的暗號或
是球進本壘板的位置, 然後將暗號傳給在本壘板的Kevin Youkilis。

    Girard賽後表示: "我不想作評論, 棒球人要有棒球人的樣子, 我認為我看到一些事
情。 "

    這位前大都會球員的紅襪一壘教練Bogar表示, 他和Girardi私下並不認識, 也沒什
麼宿怨不知道為什麼Girardi要針對他。他表示: "老實說, 我就站在那兒, 他好像要跟我
說些事情, 我便回答他問的事。" 他表示Girardi的反應是他做了些不對的事。他表示: "
那要問他, 他到底說什麼? 那是我們兩人間的事情, 那是關於棒球的事情, 場面火熱或是
什麼的, 他便問了我些事情, 然後我就回嘴。" 跟Girardi一樣他也不願說出到底兩人在
爭辯什麼。

    當問到粉柯南他們兩人在吵些什麼時, 粉柯南一開始開玩笑的表示, Girardi是問候
Bogar的家人好嗎? 他說Bogar便表示: "家裡人都很好!" 但是當問到Girardi是不是在問
Bogar是不是在偷暗號, 粉柯南便正經的表示: "可能有為這在爭辯, 我真的不介意。"

The storied rivalry between the Yankees and the Red Sox has included more
than a century of fights and feuds. The latest skirmish was a verbal tussle
on Monday night between Yankees’ Manager Joe Girardi and Tim Bogar, Boston’
s first base coach.

As Phil Hughes pitched in the fourth inning, Girardi walked from one end of
the first base dugout to the other end so he was within shouting distance of
Bogar. Girardi then shouted at Bogar. Bogar barked back.

While neither man would discuss the reason for their exchange, it seemed
probable that Girardi was accusing Bogar of tipping off the catcher’s signs
or the pitch location to the batter With the right-handed hitting Kevin
Youkilis at the plate, Bogar could have had seen catcher Jose Molina’s
signals.

I’m not going to comment,” Girardi said. “Baseball men being baseball men.
It was something I thought I saw.”

Bogar, a former Met who said he does not personally know Girardi, said he had
no previous history with Girardi and was unsure why Girardi confronted him.

“Honestly, I was standing there, I heard him say something and I answered
what he had to say to me,” Bogar said.

When Bogar was told that Girardi’s actions seemingly indicated that he felt
Bogar was doing something wrong, Bogar said, “You got to ask him about that.
” Like Girardi, Bogar would not divulge any details of what was uttered.

“What did he say?,” said Bogar, repeating a question. “That’s between me
and him. It’s a baseball thing. Heat of the moment or whatever it was. He
just had something to say and I answered him back.”

Initially, Terry Francona, the Red Sox manager, spoke playfully about the
incident by saying Girardi was asking about Bogar’s family and that Bogar
said, “Everybody is O.K. at home.” But, when Francona was asked if Girardi
had accused Bogar of tipping pitches, he turned serious.

“They could have,” Francona said. “I really don’t care.”
