    三年前5月17日，Posada和Teixeira在16日在本壘板衝撞的照片被登在Newsday報紙的
封底上，Teixeira住在紐約的妹妹看到了便將照片裱框送給了他。當日Posada整個人從本
壘板被當時在游擊兵的Teixeira整個撞飛，但Posada緊緊地握住了球因此Teixeira被判出
局。當日被撞開的Posada相當不爽，直到九局下他揮出了再見全壘打才一吐怨氣。

    當日的照片顯示出Texieria巨大的衝擊力，但他一直沒將照片掛起來。直到這週他在
Dallas的家中發現了這張照片，Teixiera才將他帶到克里夫蘭送給Posada，並在照片上簽
上:

"給Jorge，感謝你的寬恕。現在我們是最要好的朋友了! Mark Teixiera。"

    Posada看到後笑了，雖然他記得當日他很不爽。他表示:

"這件事不太有趣。他撞我挺狠的，我還準備還回去，但是這小子現在跑來我們隊上。"

I noticed a picture frame in Jorge Posada’s locker today that caught my
attention. It was a newspaper back page from May 17, 2006, in which Mark
Teixeira was in the process of running Posada over on a play at the plate.
That was the day the Yankees beat the Rangers, 14-13, after coming back from
an early 9-0 deficit.

Posada held on to the ball after Teixeira barreled through him, then the
catcher delivered the ultimate blow with a walkoff home run in the bottom of
the ninth.

Teixeira’s sister was living in the New York area at the time, and after
seeing her brother on the back page, she had it framed for him. Of course,
since the photo came on a play that he was tagged out in a game that his team
lost in devastating fashion, he never put it up in his home.

Texieria found it at his home in Dallas this week, so he brought it to
Cleveland to give to Posada. He even signed it.

“To Jorge, Thanks for your forgiveness. Now we are best friends! Mark
Teixiera”

Posada laughed when he saw it, though his memories of that day aren’t quite
as happy.

“It wasn’t funny” Posada said of the home plate collision. “He got me
good. I was going to get him back, but he’s here now.”
