重點: Moose表示: "投手們也需要金色丁字褲"

1. 今早球員休息室裡在Mike Mussina有名的留言板上，Moose擦掉了他這一天最早想法 －
   是一句引用Nuke Laloosh的話，一句經典的字句: "投手也需要丁字褲!"

   (註: Nuke Laloosh是電影"Bull Duhram"中由Tim Robbins 所飾演的年輕投手 Ebby
　　　　Calvin 'Nuke' LaLoosh，此人物似乎是影射小聯盟傳奇人物Steve Dalkowski,
        據聞曾投出110 miles的速球，Ted Williams曾打過他的球後說希望再也不要遇
        到他。)

2. 過去七年在洋基隊裡，Jason Giambi幸運的金色丁字褲幾乎已經不是新聞。但變成網
   際網路流傳的故事，以及小報將這位目前打擊率0.181的打者穿丁字褲改運當作封面
   新聞報導後...嗯，一個電視記者開始問起球員關於男性內褲的事情。這就變成災難
   的開始了。

3. 賽前Joe Giaradi，被問起了關於Giambi這種走出低潮的方式有沒有感到愉快和訝異，
   雖然球隊目前開打的狀況不是太好，但是Giaradi再一次讚賞Giambi好的工作倫理、
   打球的方式、健康、心態，以及他能夠"一天又一天後又一天"地上場比賽。

4. 在Giambi今天四次打數打出兩支安打，包括一發全壘打和一支一壘安打，問題就完完
   全全跟棒球有關了，Giambi相信2008年球季他打成這樣完全是因為糟透的運氣："今年
   幾乎就是古怪到不行了，我已經把球打得這麼強勁卻什麼鳥都打不出來。"

5. 比較好的運氣已經到Giambi身上來了，在他的合約滿的這一年...至少球團們冬天的會
   議會在他家的後院舉行，就在拉斯維加斯!!! (因為拉斯維加斯已經幾乎是Giambi家的
   後院)

This morning in the clubhouse at Mike Mussina's famous eraser board, Moose
wiped out his first thought of the day - a quote by Nuke Laloosh - to pen
this gem: "Pitchers need thongs, too.''

For the past seven years around the Yankees, Jason Giambi's lucky gold
undergarments were hardly news. But after an Internet story and a tabloid
front cover about the .181 hitter....well, one TV reporter started asking
players about boxers and briefs. Good grief.

Before the game, Joe Girardi was asked what pleasant surprises had come his
way, despite the club's not-so-hot start, and he - once again - praised
Giambi's work ethic, approach, health, attitude, and his ability to play "day
after day after day.''

After Giambi homered off Johan Santana and singled in a 2-for-4 day, the
topic was strictly baseball - and his belief that 2008 has been full of lousy
luck. "It's almost been comical this year, how hard I've hit the ball and not
gotten anything for it.''

Better luck is coming for Giambi, in his walk year....at least the winter
meetings are in his backyard. Vegas, baby.
