王建民本季要歸隊看來是不可能的

1. 王建民上個月傷了腳時，洋基隊表示希望他九月可以歸隊。但現在看來幾乎是不可能
   的。

2. 小王6月15日跑壘時造成麗氏韌帶拉傷及肌鍵部份的撕裂傷，週二將移除腳部的石膏。
   但他仍需要拿拐杖一週，然後或許可以進行復建。

3. 然而直到他腳部復建完成前他都不可能開始投球。那將需要五到六週讓他可以恢復到
   可以上場比賽的狀況，這將讓他歸隊的時間就在球季結束的時候左右。

4. 總教練Girardi表示: "我不認為你可以仰賴任何的事情，但很明顯我們希望王建民會
   可以歸隊，因為他球隊很重要的一部份，只是必須看看他復建的情況怎麼樣。"

5. 小王週二已經照過另一次的X光了，而且穿上腳部的保護靴。他說沒有任何的疼痛，而
   且腳"可以呼吸了"。他也在鞋內放了特殊的鞋墊。問他是否認為他可以在本季歸隊，他
   表示: "或許吧，但我希望可以。"

NEW YORK -- When Chien-Ming Wang suffered his foot injury last month, the
Yankees held out hope he could return in September. Now, that's looking
nearly impossible.

Wang, who sprained the Lisfranc ligament and partially tore a tendon in his
right foot while running the bases on June 15, had his cast removed Tuesday.
But he still expects to be on crutches for a week, and perhaps then begin
rehab.

He won't be able to start throwing until he finishes rehabbing the foot,
however. It should take five to six weeks to get him into game form, which
puts his timeline to return up against the end of the season.

"I don't think you count on anything," manager Joe Girardi said. "Obviously
we hope we're going to get him back because he's a big part of our club, but
you've just got to see how the rehab goes."

Wang had another X-ray Tuesday and was given a protective boot to wear. He
said he had no pain and that the foot "can breathe." He is getting special
inserts made for his shoes. Asked if he thought he could return for this
season Wang said, "Maybe. I hope so."
