洋基球場好多唇毛

1. 準備好週三下午洋基球場將會看到一大堆人嘴上都長了毛。男女老幼都戴上假鬍子努
   力支持明星賽候選人Jason Giambi。Giambi表示: "好多想當義大利人的球迷哦，我愛
   死他們了。"

2. Mike Mussina是斯拉夫民族的後裔，不是義大利人。他很自毫地在球員休息室裡戴起
   了假鬍子。所有負責媒體關係的人員和球員休息室裡的工作人員也都戴起了假鬍子。

3. Kepner問Giambi在棒球史上他最喜歡是那些球員的鬍子: 他說: "你會想到Goose。你
   也絕對會想到Keith Hernandez。而我總是習慣取笑Donnie (Mattingly)。在我成長
   過程裡一直崇拜著Donnie，留著他的鬍子，然後到洋基當教練後他把鬍子剔掉了。我
   沒有再看過他留著同樣的鬍子，因為他代表著Donnie式的棒球。或許我只是想要重現
   比賽中老式球員打球的風格，把美好的回憶帶回來。"

4. 投票會在mlb.com一直持續到美國時間7月10日下午5點截止，目前Jason Giambi排名第
   三，排在光芒隊的Evan Longoria和白襪隊的Jermaine Dye之後。Giambi表示: "經由
   最後票選才決定是否入選明星賽，比起讓總教練(粉柯南)選入實在是有趣多了。"

Lots of Lip Fur at Yankee Stadium

Get ready for a whole lot of lip fur at Yankee Stadium this afternoon. Men
and women, young and old are sporting the fake mustaches in an effort to
support Jason Giambi’s All-Star candidacy.

“A lot of wannabe Italians,” Giambi said, surveying the crowd a few minutes
ago. “I love it”

Mike Mussina – who is of Slavic descent, not Italian – was proudly wearing
the mustache in the clubhouse. So was the entire media relations staff and
many of the clubhouse workers.

I asked Giambi for his favorite mustaches in baseball history: “You gotta
have Goose. You gotta have Keith Hernandez, definitely. And I always used to
tease Donnie (Mattingly). I grew up idolizing Donnie, with his mustache, and
over here as a coach, he shaved it off. I never looked at him the same
without the ‘stache, because he was Donnie Baseball. Maybe I’m just trying
to re-live the old players of the game, just bringing it back.”

Voting continues through Thursday at 5 p.m. at mlb.com. Yesterday Giambi
ranked third, behind Evan Longoria of the Rays and Jermaine Dye of the White
Sox.

“Being in this situation and being the last vote makes it more special than
being picked by the manager,” Giambi said. “It’s more fun.”
