我倒覺得這篇寫得挺中肯的...王建民現在跳過一次先發真得調得回來嗎?
他需要的是多點局數練身手...既然無法技術性弄進DL...但不給他局數真
的調得回來嗎?

On April 20, 2008, this was CC Sabathia's line---
0-3, 13.50ERA, 18IP, 32H, 14BB, 14K, 5HR, .390/.475/.695
Of course, after that he was virtually unhittable the rest of the season.

Barring injury, I never preach making quick decisions on veteran ballplayers
who have a series of poor performances. Oh sure, there is always the shadow
of Steve Blass or Steve Trout, both of whom seemed to lose it overnight. You
can throw in Mr Yips, Chuck Knoblauch, too. But they were extreme cases out
of 1000s of MLB ballplayers. When we got Marte last season, there were many
who thought we 'stole' him from the Pirates for 'only' minor leaguers. Veras
pitched well for us last season and pitched 7 great games out of 9
appearances in 2007, forcing Joe Torre to use somebody different. Wang,
despite his poor showing in the postseason, has been nothing less than
terrific since he came up in 2005. I don't think all these guys have
forgotten how to pitch. You gotta give them some time. Veras and Marte have a
shorter leash because there are several relief pitchers in the Yankees'
organization who are destroying the competition-- short guys Melancon &
Robertson don't belong in AAA anymore and long guys Tomko & Johnson have
pitched quite well too. Back to Wang, you just gotta give him time to get
over it. Sending him down to the minors isn't on the list of options, as I
believe he would need to clear waivers. What's the point of DL-ing him if he
pitches well on the sidelines as it is? Personally, I don't think it will
happen for him in Yankee Stadium, I think he needs a couple of starts on the
road. If his turn comes up at Fenway this weekend, I don't feel there is any
reason to bypass him, as that will only make it worse. I don't understand why
he's been ineffective either. Is it mental, physical, mechanical? Yeah, he
had that 'deer in the headlights' look sitting on the bench Saturday
afternoon, what would you expect? The only thing that will cure him is more
innings.

I understand the desire by Yankees fans to want every start by every pitcher
to be a special one. But there is a bigger picture here. The Yankees, despite
having a kind of strange April thus far, have a winning record. They have
played well enough to be competitive and that's without their cleanup hitter,
who will be returning sometime in the next 2-3 weeks. Their terrific 1B-man
has been subpar. Playing in Yankee Stadium feels like there has been a minor
shift in the space-time continuum. So THAT word panic should not be used. 
Veras & Marte certainly feel the heat of competition & they know if they
don't get their act together, there will be changes. The recent Yankees'
roster-flipping of Robertson, Claggett & Jackson is obviously intended to
clarify the decision-making process. And don't be surprised if you hear
(maybe sooner than later) about the Yankees clearing room on their 40-man
roster in order to promote one of- Melancon, Tomko or Johnson. (My bet is on
one of the veterans coming up first)
