[問題] New York Times上的報導看不懂

 "While stuck in traffic after midnight after Friday night's game,
  Brian Cashman figured Jason Giambi would be awake. So he called
  Giambi for a final scouting report to help him decide whether to
  give a no-trade clause to the left-hander Alan Embree, obtained
  after his release from the Red Sox. "I appreciated his involvement,"
  Cashman said. "After my discussion with G on that night, I decided
  to do the no-trade." Embree has owned Giambi, who bunted for a
  single in their last match-up."

  見鬼了..我有沒有看錯??幹嘛給Embree no-trade clause??
  看不太懂..又幹嘛這種事還是要Giambi的意見??

  "Embree has owned Giambi..." 這是啥意思??

  看的我一頭霧水...Orz....哪位幫我解釋一下阿??? = =...
