Johnson spoke with manager Joe Torre on Saturday morning as the two rode down
the hotel elevator together.

"I told him, 'I thought the umpire was quick on the trigger, but I also
thought you snapped,'" Torre said. "I also told him that I certainly don't
want to take that emotion away from him. I don't want him out there worried
about what he's going to say or do. I never want to take the passion away
from him, because I think he needs it to pitch."

  托瑞說:那主審可能早就吃了炸藥.我還記得你說了"fuck..XX..",帶點情緒在身上
  也不錯,才不會在場外還想東想西.有點火氣下次在來個完封也不錯.


Johnson said he may address his teammates to apologize for the incident,
though Torre didn't think it was necessary.

  強森想要寫封信跟隊友說抱歉,托瑞認為"別假了".


"I think they understand how I pitch," Johnson said of his teammates.
"They've seen it against them, and I've been trying to do it for them now."
