Johnny Damon's right foot injury isn't bad enough to keep him out of the
lineup, but he knows he has to be careful. He went for an MRI on his foot "a
few weeks ago," and he said the test showed that he's got a slight break in
one of the bones along the edge of his foot.
"It's just a crack," he told the Daily News yesterday, pointing to the area
behind his big toe. Damon said he went for the MRI because the foot hadn't
improved. Asked how he felt currently, Damon said, "It's not great at all."

Johnny Damon的右腳傷勢還沒嚴重到讓他退出先發, 但是他知道他必須很小心.
幾個禮拜前他的腳做了一次核磁共振, 他說檢查結果顯示沿著他的足部旁邊的一
根骨頭有輕微的裂痕.

"只是有一點點裂開,"他昨天告訴Daily news,表示是在大腳指背面. Damon說他去

The foot has bothered him since he made three acrobatic catches during the
Yanks' April 18 game in Toronto.

"It doesn't feel very good right now - it definitely hurts," Damon said. "But
there's not much you can do for it except rest it."

And Damon doesn't necessarily want much of that. If Hideki Matsui (broken
left wrist) and Gary Sheffield (sprained left wrist) weren't already on the
disabled list, Damon admitted he might be more apt to try to baby the injury.

Instead, he'll stay in the lineup and try to work his way out of a slump. He
says he feels pain in his foot most of the time, gets about an hour of
treatment before each game (he also has tendinitis in his left shoulder) and
plays with a heavy wrap on the foot in an effort to cushion it.

只是 Damon 並沒有要求太多. 如果 Matsui(左手腕骨折)和薛老大(左手腕扭傷)
沒有在傷兵名單的話, Damon承認他應該會更善待他的傷勢.

Damon has been the designated hitter for the Yankees five times this year and
he appreciates those opportunities to stay off his feet. "That definitely
helps," he said. "I know it's something that we'll talk about doing more."

Joe Torre said he talks with Damon about his condition each day. He also has
bench coach Lee Mazzilli - who works with the outfielders - check with Damon,
because sometimes players are hesitant to admit how they feel to the manager.

Torre added that he doesn't allow the fact that the Yankees have two
outfielders on the DL affect how he handles Damon's situation.

"I can't let that influence me because if I do, then all of a sudden you
spring leaks all over the place (with injuries)," the manager said.

Toree進一步的說, 他不允許洋基有兩個外野手在傷兵名單內的這個事實, 去影
響到他自己處理 Damon 的狀況.

"我不能讓這件事影響到我, 因為如果我這樣做, 受傷這件事就會突然像溫泉
一樣爆發出來," Torre 說.

 我還以為 Damon 之前的傷沒啥問題勒, 結果是原來問題還一堆阿啊啊...

 現在是怎樣, DL 會傳染是吧?? 囧rz.....希望Damon的傷不要變成大問題,

 不然 OF 已經掛了兩個, 如果再加 Damon...更營養,我眼淚快掉下來了..
