  Jason Giambi had already clocked in for a long day at the office
        已經在打擊練習了半天

   A visit to a chiropractor, a precautionary doctor's examination and one
marathon day of recuperation had Giambi feeling as though progress was made.

      另外半天,復健醫生在大吉肥肥身軀上磨來磨去一整天

   Maybe this day [will] be huge for me," Giambi said. "Get me over the top.
I've been good, but I haven't been great. I've been taking at-bats, but I
haven't really been driving the ball."


休息可以讓我調整更好.我現在已經是個很會上壘的人,但還沒有找到巔峰時的球感


Giambi said that his back could have probably allowed him to serve as a
designated hitter if needed, but with Gary Sheffield still unable to play the
outfield due to a strained left thigh, a non-defense day became a non-option.

   大吉希望能打DH,但已經有老薛了

He discussed the matter with manager Joe Torre and the coaching staff early
Thursday, insisting that if the team needed him, he'd leave it out on the
field.

"I told them I'll give the best at-bat I can, but I don't know what that's
going to get you," Giambi said.

 大吉跟Torre說,假如球隊需要我,稍微受傷的狀況去守備也沒關係,但我不敢保證什麼


Torre appreciated the offer, but started Tino Martinez at first base instead,
citing the fact that Giambi's injury doesn't appear to be long-term. Giambi
agreed with not playing in a hindered state, especially with Alex Rodriguez
in need of protection in the lineup and victories at a premium.

 托瑞一貫假裝嚴肅聽取意見,但把Tino擺上先發一壘手.在還沒完全傷好的情況下
 上場,對大吉並不好,況且之後的比賽,有需要大吉保護A-Rod,洋基珍貴王座也是

"Give me a day and that might make all the difference in the world," Giambi
said.

  這句話是他說的喔,大家期待明天他對藍鳥大爆發吧!!!!!!
