How are you feeling and are you ready for Spring Training?

記者問:你現在覺得如何?? 你準備好參加春訓了嗎?


I'm ready to go. It's been great being able to train. Last year, before the
season, I missed a couple of months just trying to get healthy. It's been
exciting starting from Day 1 like I've normally done, training and working
out. I feel great and I'm excited to get playing.

去年季賽前 我因傷缺賽了幾個月

所以 我很期待今年可以從春訓的第一天就參加 就如同往年我做的事 訓練與健身

我感覺很好且我很期待春訓




How different is everything from a year ago?

記者問:與一年前相較 環境有多大的不同呢?


Oh, I'm excited. It's over, beyond, and now I'm going forward. Hopefully I'll
get that first ring. It was exciting to be a part of Johnny Damon [coming to
the Yankees], and getting to talk to him on the phone during the whole
process. It's going to be a lot of fun this year.

What is your relationship like with Damon?

記者問:你與大門的關係如何 (編按: 斷背山?)

We're great friends. My brother played with him in Kansas City and then, of
course, I played with him in Oakland. He's a tremendous athlete. I remember
talking to [Yankees general manager Brian] Cashman when I first signed over
here about Johnny, and I know at the beginning, [people] were, 'Oh my God,
can he handle New York?' But of course he went to Boston and had an
incredible four years over there, and he's really going to help us out.


技安比:我們是很好的朋友  我弟與他曾經在堪薩斯皇家隊是隊友

當然啦 我們在奧克蘭綠帽隊也是隊友 他是位很好的運動員

我記得當我當初與洋基簽約時  我和經理現金人討論過他

我知道  大家當初對他能不能應付洋基的球迷感到憂心

不過 他在波士頓這四年的成績大家有目共睹

所以 我相信他對我們(中外野的洞)會有很大的幫助





Do you think having Damon on the team will change the clubhouse atmosphere?

記者問:你覺得 大門來了之後  會改變隊上的氣氛嗎?


That's tough. That's the same question everybody asked me when I got over
there. Like I told Johnny, every day in New York is like when we play
Yankees/ Boston. There's a lot of writers and a lot of TV, so it's hard. You
have your fun, but you have it different -- it's really hard to be in the
clubhouse and do a lot of things because there's just so many people. I know
it was a big thing last year when I got to play the music all the time.

那很難        我剛來洋基時 大家也都問我這樣的問題

就像我跟大門說過的 在洋基的每一天 就像在波士頓的每一天一樣

有很多的記者 很多的電視新聞會談論到我們  所以很難(改變氣氛?)

你會有自得其樂的方法 不過大概不是在隊上 因為隊上永遠是那麼多的人

所以去年我來時 我總是得帶動隊上的氣氛




What are you expecting your time in the field to be like this year?

記者問:你覺得你今年大多會以怎樣的身份上場?


A lot of first base. I'm excited and I feel great. I'll just do what I can. I
told them, I definitely can win more games with my bat than I'll lose with my
glove. It's definitely an even trade.


技安比: 大部份以一壘手為主(編按:真的嗎?)  我很期待而且我的感覺很好

我會做到我能做的   我告訴他們(教練團)

比我的手套 我決對能用我的巨棒 為球隊帶來更多場次的勝利
