沒有啦 當然不是啦...當然是下半季那股狠勁
anything is possible
不過看起來大吉非常努力
冬天還持續自主訓練

Notes: Giambi ready to complete circle
Strong '05 finish, offseason have return to elite status possible

TAMPA, Fla. -- A year ago, Jason Giambi arrived at Legends Field with a giant
black cloud hanging over his head.
一年前大吉頭上罩著巨大烏雲來到傳奇球場

Giambi was coming off of two subpar years and a winter of steroid-related
controversy, looking to get his career back on track.
已經兩年表現不佳 還惹上禁藥風波 開始春訓準備讓職業生涯重上軌道

A slow start almost derailed him, but Giambi bounced back with a monster
season from July forward, earning American League Comeback Player of the Year
honors in the process.
但一開季的慢速啟動幾乎毀了他

也讓他贏得美聯年度東山再起球員獎

Now, armed with a full offseason of workouts and a positive attitude, Giambi
is ready to reestablish himself as one of the top offensive forces in the
game.

"This is probably the best I've felt in a long time, maybe since first coming
here," Giambi said. "I'm excited to get playing, get going; I finished up on
a good note, so I'm excited about carrying it through for the rest of my time
here."

"He just seems more relaxed," said manager Joe Torre. "There were a lot of
questions he had to answer for himself, and needless to say, for us, too.
Considering the way he started last year, he's come a long way. This spring
is much more of a relief for him, where he can just be one of the guys."

Giambi hit .271 with 32 home runs and 87 RBIs last year, hitting 27 of those
homers after July 3.

"I was surprised by the number of home runs he hit last year," Torre said.
"Especially with the start he had."

Torre hasn't decided how to line up his sluggers in the middle of the batting
order, but he does know that Giambi will join Alex Rodriguez, Gary Sheffield
and Hideki Matsui in the 3-6 spots.

"I'm not worried about it; there's an RBI spot in every slot in this lineup,"
Giambi said. "I'll hit wherever, I don't care. I think No. 1 and No. 2 are
locked up [by Johnny Damon and Derek Jeter]. We'll let Joe pull names out of
a hat after that."

Unlike offseasons of the past, Giambi has been doing baseball work for much
of the winter, hitting in a cage in order to keep the good habits he acquired
through his work with hitting coach Don Mattingly.
不像過去 大吉在球季仍持續他的棒球功課 在打擊網裡揮擊
這是他和打擊教練Don Mattingly一起時養成的習慣(**還好不是去釣魚**)

"I worked hard to get to that spot, so I didn't want to take four months off
and not do anything," Giambi said. "I have that same feeling from the A's to
when I first came in here. I'm healthy right now, knock on wood, though the
one thing I can't control is injuries. But mentally, physically, I'm excited
to get this year going."
他說"我很努力才到達那樣的狀態 我不希望放四個月的假什麼都不做
這是在洋基隊我第一次感覺像以前在運動家隊時一樣 現在我很健康
雖然唯一不能控制的就是受傷 但心理上 生理上 很興奮要迎接新的一年"

最近看到一篇報導 發現  原來
大吉和發現打擊教練 Mattingly的關係非比尋常....
Giambi has credited Mattingly with playing a major role in that turnaround,
both on and off the field. Mattingly worked with Giambi in the cage every
day during the season, trying to get the slugger back to his MVP form of
2000.

"I'm happy for him from the standpoint of what he went through last year,"
Mattingly said. "It couldn't have ended much better for him than it did. We
came into this spring with Jason in a positive frame of mind and with us
confident in what he can do."

大吉相信Mattingly對他的大逆轉 不管在球場上或球場下 都扮演了重要的角色
球季中  他們倆人 每天 都要到打擊網報到...進行特訓
希望能讓大吉恢復2000年MVP的身手
Mattingly說
"我很高興看到他又站起來 今年春天看到他帶著樂觀的態度回來 我對他有信心"
