BALTIMORE -- Alex Rodriguez returned to the lineup on Sunday after
missing the last two games with the stomach flu, while Jason Giambi
sat out for the second straight game because of similar problems.

Rodriguez batted cleanup and was the designated hitter for the first
time this season, still not having enough energy to play third base.

suffering back spasms Thursday in Detroit while trying to put on his
