: Damon scored and Jeter moved to third, putting the tying run 90 feet from
: home plate. Alex Rodriguez walked to load the bases again, but Papelbon
: struck out Robinson Cano and Posada, stranding all three runners to preserve
: the lead.
Giambi打了一支右外野的高飛犧牲打，差一點就變成滿貫砲。Damon回來得分而Jeter推進
到三壘，這時追平分距離本壘板只剩下90英呎了！隨後A-Rod被保送又造成滿壘，但是
Papelbon連續三振了 Cano 和 Posada，讓壘上的三名跑者只能乾瞪眼，紅襪仍然維持領
先。

: Down to their final three outs, the Yankees went back to work against
: Papelbon in the ninth. Melky Cabrera led off with a double to right-center,
: putting the tying run in scoring position. Papelbon unleashed a wild pitch,
: advancing Cabrera to third with no outs.
雖然只剩三個出局數，洋基在9局面對Papelbon仍然有所斬獲。Melky一上來就打出中外
野的二壘安打，使追平分站上得點圈。Papelbon出奇不意的暴投，讓Melky在無人出局時
就上到三壘。

: The closer struck out both Bernie Williams and Damon, but Jeter fisted a
: single to shallow right field, scoring Cabrera to tie the game. It was the
: sixth blown save of the season for Papelbon, his third in August.
Papelbon又接連三振 Bernie 和 Damon ，但是Jeter接著打出一支右外野的一壘安打，
Melky回來得分追平比數！這是Papelbon本季第6次救援失敗，是八月的第3次。

: Ortiz opened the bottom of the ninth with a double to right, a hit which was
: generously scored after Giambi couldn't make a play on the hard-hit chopper.
: Rivera intentionally walked Ramirez, and after foiling a sacrifice bunt
: attempt for the first out, a passed ball moved the runners to second and
: third.
Ortiz在9局下一上來就是一支2壘打，Giambi沒法攔住這球。Rivera先敬遠保送了Manny，
下一名打者打了一支無用的犧牲短打，讓Ortiz成為第一個出局；但隨後又補逸讓跑者
分進二三壘。

: Rivera intentionally walked Mike Lowell to load the bases with one out, but
: he struck out pinch-hitter Eric Hinske and got Doug Mirabelli to ground out
: back to the mound, moving the tie game to the 10th.
Rivera這時又故意保送Mike Lowell造成滿壘，然後三振掉Eric Hinske，又讓
Doug Mirabelli打了一個投手丘前的滾地球出局；將比賽送入第10局。

: Giambi drilled a line drive to right-center, where the ball barely cleared
: the wall for his second homer of the night. One out later, Cano doubled,
: setting up Posada's two-run insurance shot. Rivera finished the game with a
: scoreless 10th.
(第10局)Giambi打了一支右外野的平飛球，剛剛好飛過全壘打牆變成當晚的雙響炮。
一出局之後，Cano打出二壘打，讓Posada能擊出保險分的二分彈。Rivera最後無失分關門
成功。
