Mussina卻在4上馬上被紅襪打3支安打追平比數成3:3, 這局結束後因為右鼠蹊部緊蹦,
在訓練員Donohue的建議下退場, 這場的情形就跟他6/30對上大都會一樣, 那天投了前4局
無安打比賽之後, 接下來63分的雨停讓他也是在第5局上來又鼠蹊部拉傷退場 @@
而這場對上紅襪的比賽跟6/30對上大都會4局無安打的比賽又有些不同,
今天他退場前被打了7安掉3分.

Villone5下代替Moose上, 在2 outs 2壞1好被Ortiz打了一支掉在右中外野紅襪牛棚裡的
solo HR (本季第43支), 紅襪取得4:3領先
Schilling在5, 6, 7局NYY10名上場的打者中解決了9名, 一共投了109球在5:3的情形下退
場由T大叔接投

: putting the tying run in scoring position. Papelbon unleashed a wild pitch,

T大叔在8上一開始就被Damon一安然後觸身球打到隊長逼得教練換上左投Lopez對Abreu,
但還是保送了他造成滿壘, 結果換上Papelbon準備來取得剩下的六個出局數,
首先面對Giambi被打了一個右外野差點滿貫的高飛犧牲打取得一分, 隊長上3壘
接著A-ROD被保送成滿壘, 然後Cano and Posada被Papelbon KK,
留下滿壘慘壘保住紅襪5:4領先
到了9上剩最後3個出局數, 沒想到一開始就被Cabrera打出二安,　追平分上得分位置,

: single to shallow right field, scoring Cabrera to tie the game. It was the
: sixth blown save of the season for Papelbon, his third in August.
: Ortiz opened the bottom of the ninth with a double to right, a hit which was

but不愧是closer, 連續K掉了 Williams and Damon, 兩出局對上Jeter, 還是被打出了
一安讓Cabrera跑回本壘追平, 造成了Papelbon本季第6次救援失敗, (本月第三次了 XD)

Ortiz在9下打了首打者二安, Rivera接著故意四壞保送Manny, 然後1,2壘有人犧牲
觸擊失敗Ortiz死在三壘, 但隨後又捕逸讓1,2壘跑者上2,3壘
: Rivera intentionally walked Mike Lowell to load the bases with one out, but
: he struck out pinch-hitter Eric Hinske and got Doug Mirabelli to ground out
: back to the mound, moving the tie game to the 10th.
: Giambi drilled a line drive to right-center, where the ball barely cleared
: the wall for his second homer of the night. One out later, Cano doubled,
: setting up Posada's two-run insurance shot. Rivera finished the game with a
: scoreless 10th.

Rivera再故意四壞保送Lowell成滿壘好防守, 但是Rivera三振了Hinske然後讓Mirabelli
打出投手前滾地保住了平手進入第10局
10上一開始面對紅襪接替Papelbon上來的後援Hansen, 用HR拿下了三分, 其中包括Giambi
本場第二支HR(solo), 然後Cano二安, 以及Posada的兩分砲.

10下Rivera在紅襪打者趕下班的情形下輕鬆結束比賽拿下勝投.
