"Obviously you don't ever want to go down a level," the Yankees' 2003 first-round pick said yesterday, "but I'm still young and I still have a lot of time left." Duncan, 21, has always impressed the Yankees with his work ethic, and this has been no different. The first baseman rebounded after a tough stint at Triple-A Columbus, entering last night hitting .274 with nine doubles, five homers and 18 RBIs in 26 games at Trenton. Duncan, who also has a 12-game hitting streak, said he hasn't made any changes to his swing, attributing his recent success mainly to just feeling comfortable at the plate. The Yankees are happy to see him hitting for power after he had only four extra-base hits in 110 at-bats for Columbus. With the trade deadline July 31, he knows he's a candidate to be dealt, but reiterated his desire to be a Yankee. "I want to a big leaguer," he said, "and I want it to be with the Yankees." -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 61.228.189.58
