Joe set to
spin rotation

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. - Beyond confirming that Randy Johnson is starting the
season opener Monday in Oakland, Joe Torre still has not determined the rest
of his rotation. Before last night's 5-4 loss to the Braves, Torre said he
hoped to make an announcement before the team leaves for Arizona Thursday.
Mike Mussina is expected to follow Johnson, with Chien-Ming Wang and Shawn
Chacon the likely No. 3 and 4 starters.

Last night, Chacon started against the Braves and threw 92 pitches over 51/3
innings, giving up five runs and six hits. "I felt good," Chacon said. "I
just left a couple pitches up." Alex Rodriguez went 2-for-3 with a double and
a two-run homer to left that hit the scoreboard. Atlanta's Adam LaRoche had a
three-run bomb off Chacon.
