End of the day the Tigers will win the Central as they should.

The Tigers remind me so much of the White Sox of 05 so much its uncanny, not
really because of the team structure but because of the position they're in.

The Central was a landfill of mediocrity that the Twins feasted on repeatedly.
Last year really marked the start of a shift, investments and small deals here
and there gave the White Sox a team that could compete in a weak division.
This year I saw the same thing happen with the Tigers. Both teams also got
cold at around the same time, and I believe like the White Sox the Tigers
will have a hot finish and make a great playoff run.

What makes you guys such lucky fans is the lack of media attention. While I'm
sure some of you guys would love to see your team spoken about by alot of the
idiots in ESPN and other channels, truth is its keeping yourself small that
makes winning so much better, plus you get all of the shocked fans from other
teams who blow a casket when thier supposed "Superior" teams get beat by
teams with poor records in previous years. The Tigers have the fortune to be
in a division to be able to make this run and
they did so with great success.

The Yankees right now are off a mediocre road trip, really getting whipped by
the Mariners and Angels. At Yankee stadium Wang, a ground ball virtuoso, is
at his best. Only a true rally type of team like the Tigers, Angels, etc. can
really take advantage of a pitcher like that on his mound, his infield. It
will truly be a testament to the Tigers if they can beat Wang when he's in a
strong outing.

The Series is within reach of either team, and I don't think in the grand
scheme of things, the series will dictate doom for either team's division
chances. It's obvious however that this series has serious playoff
implications and bragging rights. Detroit has been scrutinized all year by
the press as not being able to handle the big teams, and this series is a
good exclamation point for them.

All I have to say is, after watching the Yankees play teams that won't be
making the playoffs for the last 2 weeks, I'm glad that I'll be seeing more
of an opposing team that I will be seeing in the playoffs. I hope the Yankees
do well, with the Red Sox playing the A's who are playing solid baseball
right now, this could be the final nail in the coffin, I'd die laughing if
Boston finishes third.
