補一段Torre對Pavano的看法:

Torre believes Pavano will be a "major" factor in determining the Yanks'
success or failure this season and, as such, is most interested in making
sure the 30-year-old righthander takes the proper precautions as he tries to
work through back problems that, according to Pavano, have been an issue

Asked how important Pavano's recovery was to the Yankees, Torre did not
hesitate.
"Major," Torre said. "I think he's major for us, and the reason I say that
is because of his youth, for one, where he can take a good portion of the
workload. That about covers it, really. He just never got into a groove of
any kind, just never got there. But he's major for us."

============  個人感想分隔線  ==============
從去年下半季Pavano本要上場但又跑去看醫生說是有傷 就一直待在傷兵名單後
就沒看過他在復健的消息
(倒看過Torre把他叫來讓他待在球員休息室 以避掉出場數不足可解約的問題
 但那篇報導 一時熊熊找不到...)
今年春訓復健進度又落後
但看到Torre對他的耐心和包容
懷疑老教頭到底看上Pavano哪一點?(每個人心中都有一座斷背山???呵呵...)
不過Torre識人的本事和對球員的信任寬容和耐性倒是叫人敬佩
(反正紐約媒體和球迷都是大黑臉 教練就當大白臉吧!)
最好的例子 是去年的Giambi
開季打擊不振 一壘守備失誤連連  要他去小聯盟 卻被拒絕
這樣糟糕的狀況卻不斷不斷安排他上場
結果...最後...竟然...

真的讓他東山再起了~~~

真覺得不可思議...(大吉和老托都讓人覺得不可思議)

今年是如法炮製來對Pavano嗎?
但...他真有那本事嗎?
去年大吉可是忍受著各界嘲諷  不斷不斷上場比賽
但Pavano卻好像連上投手丘的勇氣都沒有
這...............
