Yanks right-hander feeling good after throwing 35 pitches

TAMPA, Fla. -- Carl Pavano sounds more and more optimistic with every bullpen
session.
在每次牛棚練習中 Carl Pavano似乎越來越樂觀
Pavano, who is nursing a sore back, said the difference in the way he felt
when he pitched last season and how he feels now, after taking the spring
slow, is night and day.
之前Pavano對自己像去年球季一樣背部酸疼的情形感到緊張
而在放慢春訓調整的進度後 他的說法也天差地(???)
"My whole goal is to come back better than I was [last season]." Pavano said.
"Right now, I'm on that path."
Pavano說"我的目標就是要調整地比去年好 現在也正向這個目標前進"
Pavano threw 35 pitches in the bullpen on Friday, a combination of fastballs,
changeups and sliders. He'll throw another session in the bullpen on Sunday
before he increases his pitch count to 45, eventually reaching 60.
Pavano星期五在牛棚的練習中投了35球 包括速球 變速球和滑球
星期天他將進行另一次牛棚練習
然後將投球數增加到45球 最後則到達60球
"I started at the top of the mound this time," Pavano said. "It felt good."
Pavano說"這次我站在投手丘的頂端 感覺很好"
Yankees manager Joe Torre has said Pavano is an important piece of the
pitching staff, and that he'll be a starter when healthy.
洋基老教頭Joe Torre曾說Pavano是洋基投手中重要的一員
只要他健康 就是先發投手
"He was really good," Torre said. "I think he's champing at the bit at this
point in time."
老托說"他真的很棒 我想他現在對於沒有趕上進度有點點懊惱"(???)
