Octavio Dotel, who was shut down two weeks ago after a mild setback in his
recovery from Tommy John surgery, threw 35 pitches off a bullpen mound on
Tuesday.
Dotel is scheduled for another mound session late this week and could resume
pitching in extended spring training games next week.
二星期前於Tommy John手術中輕傷復發而關機休息的Octavio Dotel，
星期二在牛棚投手丘丟了35球。
Dotel已經被排定在這星期稍後要上投手丘，
並且可以繼續在下星期的延長春訓比賽中投球。
Carl Pavano (back) allowed one unearned run and two hits over five innings
in an extended spring training game on Tuesday.
Pavano threw 58 pitches and struck out three. "He was outstanding,"
catcher Ben Davis said. Pavano is probably about four weeks away from
rejoining the Yankees.

Carlos Pena has an escape clause in his contract that comes into effect
Tuesday, but general manager Brian Cashman said Monday that the Yankees
don't plan to call him up.
Cashman said he expects Pena to remain with the Yankees at Triple-A
despite other teams potentially being interested in him. Pena is
hitting just .194 at Columbus, which might have something to do with it.
