: Brian Cashman has just informed the media via conference call that Carl Pavano
: cracked two ribs in a car accident on Aug. 15 while in Florida on a rehab
: assignment. Pavano did not inform the organization until late Saturday night.
: That is in violation of his contract.
現金人以透過召開記者會的方通知媒體痛先生在八月十五，正在佛羅里達進行復健時，
因一場車禍斷了兩根肋骨。痛先生直到星期六晚上才告知球團這件事。而這違反了他的
合約內容。

: The call is still going on and Pavano will be on shortly. Cashman has said
: several times how "disappointed" and "frustrated" he is. Pavano apparently faces
: disciplinary action.
記者會目前仍在進行，而痛先生等等也會出現。現金人說了好幾次他有多麼的"失望"以及
"感到挫折"。痛先生顯然的要面對一個懲戒的動作。

: "Of course I'm angry," Cashman said.
: Back in a while with some details. But this could be the last straw in terms of
: Pavano's time with the team.
現金人說"我當然會抓狂啦"。過去也多多少少會發生一些有的沒的事，但這一次可能是
球團對痛先生的爆點。

: Pavano claims that on Aug. 15, the day he was pitching in a Class A game, he
: was involved in a two-car accident. He claimed he wasn't charged but that has
: not been verified.
痛先生說在八月十五在小聯盟出賽的時候，他遇到了一場兩車相撞的車禍。他說他並沒有
被起訴，但這還未被證實。

: Pavano said on a conference call that the "only reason" he told the team was
: that the injury wasn't getting better. He seems to be in clear violation of his
: contract, which obligates him to inform the team of any change in his health or
: injuries. The Yankees could make a move in terms of trying to invalidate his
: contract.
痛先生在記者會上說他告知球團的"唯一理由"是因為傷勢沒有變好。他似乎明顯的違反了
他的合約，裡面明文記載著他務必要告知球團他任何影響到他健康的傷勢。洋基球團是可
以試著做出和他解約的行動的。

: Beyond that, it's certainly questionable that he mentioned this only when it
: seemed he was about to be back in the majors. Pavano gave himself an out when
: asked if he would pitch in the majors this season.
此外，他在似乎即將要回到大聯盟的這個時間點才說也的確令人質疑。痛先生在被問及是
否本季能夠在大聯盟投球時，為自已創造了一個藉口。

: "I'm going to keep moving forward to the big-league club," Pavano said. "I
: don't feel (the injury) will hold me back. But if I feel it's something that's
: going to jeopardize my arm or the team, those are things I need to take into
: account. I can't be selfish and feel like I have to prove to the world that I
: can pitch through this."
痛先生說"我越來越接近大聯盟。我並不覺得這個傷勢會拖延到我的進度。但是如果我覺
得那會對我的手臂或是球隊造成傷害的話，那我就會列入考慮。我不能夠這麼自私並且幻
想我能對全世界證明就算受這樣的傷我也還能投。"

: Pavano also said he, "didn't feel he needed to address anything" with his
: teammates. "I'm going to go about my business," he said.
: That seems to be the business of not playing.
痛先生說對他的隊友們"並不覺得需要說些什麼"。(後面不太懂…就算了…)
