    According to Baseball Prospectus, the average 22 year-old improves on his
previous season's performance by about 15%.  Obviously there are many different
types of players and they don't all follow this rule.  But it may be useful for
fantasy leaguers to look at some players who are very young and held their own in
2006.

...他們的未來如何呢?


   Cabrera is at .285/.362/.405 this season in about 400 PAs.  That's damn good
at his age.  He's a small guy, and up until this year he never slugged better
than .411 in the high minors.  He began 2006 by destroying Triple A, slugging
.566 in 31 games.  During Cabrera's first two months in the bigs, he hit for
very little power.  Since July 1, however, the Melk Man has slugged .464.  IF
he can hit near that level and play center field, the Johnny Damon signing will
look redundant very quickly (not that anyone saw this coming).  A trade would
be best for Cabrera's fantasy value, as the Yankees won't have a regular spot
for him next year.  Hell of a fourth outfielder though.

   Cabrera 本年 400次打席左右是 .285/.362/.405, 在他這年紀真的很不錯了。 他體型
算是筆較矮小而在今年前從來沒有超過 .411的長打率。他今年開始時狂殺了3A ， 在31
場比賽中有 .566的長打率。 在上大聯盟前面兩個月他幾乎沒有長打。 但在七月開始他
的長打率維持在 .464 左右。 如果他能維持這種水準那 Damon 的合約很快就會感覺沒意
義了(當然這幾乎無人能預見)。 對他的FB 價值來看交易當然比較好因為洋基沒有固定的
位置給他。 但會是個超級的四號OF..
