Maybe you heard of him? He was in the club house today ...... -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Carl Pavano showed up here today and answered a few questions from the media. He said "it hasn't even crossed my mind" about whether he would be better off in another organization. Later on, Joe Torre has some interesting - and telling - words about Pavano. "He needs to understand what his priority is," Torre said. "I'm not accusing him of anything but baseball has to be his life. He has to live his life that way." Asked about Pavano's relationship with his teammates, Torre said, "He has a lot of work to do in that regard. These guys busted their tails all year. Nobody's saying he wasn't hurt, but you have to help yourself and there may be some thought process that he could have done a better job of helping himself." Asked whether the joking about Pavano was light-hearted, Torre didn't mince words. "No," he said. "Not necessarily." http://www.lohud.com/blogs/lohudyankees.html ----------------------------------------------------------------------- ...."You got a new car?'' pitching coach Ron Guidry asked. ''Why don't you buy a bicycle?'' Even Torre said, without a smile, ''I asked if I could shake his hand, because I didn't know where he was hurt.'' Pavano met with reporters for a few minutes outside the Yankee clubhouse and acknowledged that this offseason is ''going to be crucial for me. ''This has been disappointing, frustrating and humiliating,'' he said. ''The best thing I can do is continue to move forward and look to '07. I'm not going to take away anything from the team. They've played all year and they look like they're on the way to a championship. I'm looking forward to seeing that happen.'' Asked if he thought he might be better off playing for another team, he said, ''That hasn't even crossed my mind. I'm a Yankee.'' Pavano estimated his injury could take 8-12 weeks to heal and he hasn't discussed whether to play winter ball. He said his new agent, Gregg Clifton, is encouraging him to spend the winter at a professional training facility in Arizona, Athletic Performance Institute, which would seem to fit with Torre's command. The Yankees have pledged to conduct an investigation into the accident, but Pavano said he hadn't talked to them about specifics. While there was talk the Yankees would consider trying to void his four-year, $40-million contract, Pavano said, ''That's the least of my concerns right now. ''Getting out there to pitch, that's the No. 1 goal.'' http://www.newspress.com/Top/Article/article.jsp?Section=SPORTS&ID=564809816264278054 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 只能說..他要贏回所有人的信心的話得要好好努力了...... -- My blog: http://yankeewave.blogspot.com Following the New York Yankees and baseball The 2006 Yankees - Pride, Power, Pinstripes, Proctor -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 61.62.216.242 ※ 編輯: RollingWave 來自: 61.62.216.242 (09/23 14:15)
