Sandwiched between such potent stars as Johnny Damon, Derek Jeter, Jason Giambi
and Alex Rodriguez, it sometimes seems as though Bobby Abreu is the forgotten
man in the Yankee lineup - even though he bats third.

像三明治般的夾在大門.隊長.大吉和Hot-Rod這些強力的打者之間,有時阿布就像是
被遺忘的人,即便他打第三棒.

But after Abreu stroked a seventh-inning double during yesterday's 10-1 win
over the Twins at the Stadium, it was evident that Yankee fans appreciate him.
He was given a standing ovation as he trotted off the field to be replaced by
pinch-runner Aaron Guiel.

但昨天和雙城隊的比賽中,阿布在第七局敲出二壘安打時,證據顯出洋基的球迷非常

"The first day I was here the fans gave me an ovation that was kind of like, '
Welcome,'" said Abreu, who was acquired from the Phillies with Cory Lidle just
before the trade deadline. "They've showed good support. It's very appreciated."

That double was Abreu's third of the day - tying a career high - and came one
pitch after he was brushed back by Minnesota reliever Willie Eyre. That came
just after Abreu fouled a ball off his right shin and had to be tended to by a
trainer. Abreu had a wrap just above his ankle after the game, and went for
X-rays, which came back negative. He expects to be back in the lineup when the
Yankees play in Kansas City tonight.

這支二壘打是他這場比賽的第三支安打,平他的生涯紀錄.這支安打是在他打出一個

That's good news for the Bombers since Abreu has been red hot, batting .370 as
a Yankee. Though that's a torrid way to start his career in the Bronx, no one
on the Yankees has been surprised at how good he's been.

這對洋基隊無疑是個好消息,因為自從阿布來到洋基後棒子就一直很火熱,在洋基的
打擊率高達 .370,沒人會質疑他的好.

"He's been doing everything," said Derek Jeter. "He's been hitting, he's been
walking, he's been running, he's been playing good defense. That's exactly what
we heard."

Abreu has made a lineup that already seemed invincible even better. He said the fact
that he knows he doesn't have to carry the team has helped him ease into his
new surroundings.

"I don't try to do too much or something different than I was doing in
Philadelphia," he said. "I just play the way I've played all year."

Damon agrees that Abreu has been aided by the fact that the pressure is not
squarely on Abreu the way it is for some other sluggers when they first come to
New York.

"If he doesn't get the job done, one of us will," Damon said. "If he comes to
the park and plays well, it's going to be a bonus. That's what's great about
this team."
當強打者來到紐約時,總會感到壓力,大門認為阿布不受此影響對他是很有幫助的.
