Actually, all MLB.TV Revenue and Merchandising Revenue are split evenly
between the 30 teams. So all those Japanese fans buying Matsui T-shirts...
The Royals are making just as much money as the Yankees are.

I guess the "Japanese Market" would be the Japanese Tourists that visit
Yankee stadium, and that's supposed to have a significant impact. It did
in Seattle, I read this article that there are droves of Japanese Fans that
visit Seattle to Ichiro! at Safeco.

Also, if YES is available on Cable TV in Japan (I don't know if it is or not),
subscriptions would increase. But NHK BS1 uses YES feeds very often (I've
got Japanese Satellite at home, and most of the Yankee games they play uses
YES feeds)
