RHP T.J. Beam -- Beam put up strong numbers out of the bullpen for both Double-
A Trenton and Triple-A Columbus in 2006, but ran into a few roadblocks -- as ma
ny rookies do -- as a September addition to the Yankees roster.
He pitched one inning of hitless relief for the Saguaros on Tuesday.

LHP Sean Henn -- Henn was 3-1 with a 4.01 ERA for Columbus, but lowered that nu
mber a bit to 3.91 when he moved to the bullpen. He earned the win for Peoria i
n Tuesday's game against Scottsdale, but gave up a run on a walk, single and sa
crifice fly in one inning of relief.

RHP Jeff Kennard -- Kennard dazzled out of the bullpen for the Tampa Yankees th
is season, putting up a 1.33 ERA and a 3-0 record. His ERA rose after a promoti
on to Trenton, but remained solid at 3.29. The 25-year-old didn't fare as well
in his first AFL appearance, giving up two runs on three hits in one inning

RHP Darrell Rasner -- Rasner impressed Yankees fans with his start against Minn
esota on Sept. 3 -- one run on four hits in six innings -- but he has a lot of
lost time to make up in Peoria this fall. Rasner, who has yet to make an appear
ance for the Saguaros, was sidelined for more than two months with a shoulder i
njury this season.

C P.J. Pilittere -- Having never played above Class A Advanced, Pilittere's the
 most inexperienced Yankees prospect participating in the AFL. But playing agai
nst higher competition levels can only bode well for the catcher next season. P
ilittere had a solid year for Tampa, batting .302, and went 1-for-2 against Sco
ttsdale on Tuesday.

3B Eric Duncan -- The 2003 first-round pick will be looking to reclaim some of
the top prospect status he once had after a disappointing 2006 start in Columbu
s resulted in a demotion to Trenton. In his one start for the Saguaros, Duncan
struck out three times and hit a two-run single.

OF Brett Gardner -- Last year's third-round pick is making steady progress in t
he Yankees' system. Gardner batted .323 with Tampa and stole 30 bases. The outf
ielder's average slipped slightly after a promotion to Trenton, but his speed r
emained a constant, stealing 28 bases in 55 games. In two starts for Peoria, he
's gone 2-for-6 and scored four runs.

RHP Christian Garcia -- The 21-year-old posted a 3.46 ERA for Class A Charlesto
n, and has given up three earned runs in two starts for the Canefires (6 2/3 in
nings).

RHP Ian Kennedy -- This year's first-round pick has just two professional start
s under his belt, but he's been impressive thus far. Kennedy joined Staten Isla
nd in the last week of the regular season and helped pitch the Yankees to the N
ew York-Penn League title with his outing in Game 1 of the playoffs. In two rel
ief appearances for West Oahu, Kennedy's given up a run in 4 2/3 innings.

RHP Jeff Marquez -- The 2004 first-round pick put up a 3.61 ERA for Tampa but s
truggled in his first week in Hawaii. In two starts totaling 6 1/3 innings, Mar
quez has given up eight runs on seven hits.

RHP Mark Melancon -- A ninth-round pick in this year's draft, Melancon has give
n up five earned runs in four relief appearances for the Canefires. The 20-year
-old had a 3.52 ERA out of the bullpen for the New York-Penn League champion St
aten Island Yanks.
