Two men stood up clearly for Joe, one, with no doubt, is GM Cashman.

And the other one is Jeter.

"It has also been reported that Derek Jeter called the Boss to lend his
support to Torre."


This reporter obviously made things up.

Look at his article, full with speculation and second guess.


If you were Jeter, which one is a better way to keep Joe?

A. Talk to the media and big mouth everything?

B. Call the "Boss", try to convince him no one can replace Joe.

For my opinion, it takes more courage and credit to go for plan B.

Because first of all, YOU NEED TO KNOW THE PHONE NUMBER OF THE BOSS!!

And I am sure the reporter doesn't have it.
