OAKLAND -- Metallica's "Enter Sandman" was a hot topic of conversation in New
York on Tuesday, as fans argued over Mets closer Billy Wagner's use of the
tune as his entrance music.

迷們在爭論著大都會隊closer Billy Wagner 所使用的出場音樂

Wagner, who has used the song to walk in from the bullpen during his days in
both Houston and Philadelphia, was accompanied by it as he entered Monday's
game at Shea Stadium. Wagner started using the song in 1999, though he hasn't
used it exclusively.
Wagner 過去在太空人和費城人就使用這首歌伴隨他從牛棚出場,所以星期一在 Shea-S
tadium也不例外,Wagner 在1999年開始使用這首歌,不過這並不是他所專有的!
The Yankees started playing the tune for Rivera in 1999, though he had never
heard it before. It has become a staple of home games in the Bronx, with the
fans rising to their feet upon hearing the first few notes.
洋基在1999年開始幫 Rivera 使用這首歌曲,雖然他從未聽過這首歌! 但這已經成為
Bronx主場比賽中的重要一環!當球迷聽到這首歌時,一個個都站了起來!

"I love it when the song comes on and those doors open up. It identifies when
I'm going to pitch," Rivera said. "It's something the fans like, they
identify me with the song, and some of them call me 'Sandman' now."
"我喜歡這首歌出現時伴隨著門打開,這證明了我將上場投球!" Rivera 表示,"就像球迷
所認同我跟這首歌曲一樣,有些人現在開始叫我 Sandman-童話故事中的睡魔 ! "
After being informed that Wagner's use of the song had started a controversy
in New York, Rivera was all smiles.
當 Rivera 獲知 Wagner 因使用這首歌而在紐約造成爭議時,他則是微笑以對!
"I think it's funny," Rivera said. "To the people that are fighting over
this, I appreciate the loyalty."
"我覺得這有點好笑," Rivera 表示 "對於那些因為此事而爭論不休的人,我非常
感謝他們的對我的支持!"
Rivera, who met Metallica singer James Hetfield last season at Yankee
Stadium, admitted that he doesn't listen to Metallica, opting instead for
Christian music on his iPod. That said, Rivera has become a fan of the song
after hearing it at the stadium for the past seven years.
Rivera 去年在洋基主場和 Metallica 主唱 James Hetfield 見面,他坦承他並不聽

As for Wagner's use of "Enter Sandman," Rivera believes that the song is big
enough for both of them to use.
當 Wagner 使用 Enter Sandman 時, Rivera 則表示這首歌受歡迎的程度絕對可以讓他們
兩個人一起使用!
"He's a great guy and he has all my respect," Rivera said. "I don't mind it
at all. If the guy feels comfortable using the song, let him be."
"他是一個不錯的人並且受我尊敬" Rivera 表示 "我並不介意, 如果他覺得使用這首歌
感覺到不錯的話,那就繼續吧!"
