這是我在四月初的時候讀完 該篇預測討論後的comment ...

The Yanks biggest risk may not be pitching this year.. though it will still
bother them.. but the fact that they got off VERY lucky last year in the sense
that none of their position player have serious injuries..

洋基今年的最大風險可能不是投手， 那還是會影響到他們但是問題是他們去年在野手
方面十分的幸運幾乎沒有人有嚴重的受傷

for one, assuming that their only bench replacement with a half decent bat that
would make him a viable starter at the moment would most likely be Andy Phillps
and to a less extend Bubba Crosby, in those two you have most of the outfield
covered and the corner positions.. and even then it would be a serious
downgrade offensively if those two has to be the starter.. the only starter the
Yanks could afford to get hurt at the moment is Bernie.....

首先假設現在的板凳球員中有足夠的火力能夠讓它當可用的先發的大概只有Andy Phillips
跟免強算上Bubba Crosby, 在這兩個人中你頂多涵蓋了外野跟一三壘。而且即使這樣如果
這兩位得先發的話也絕對是個大幅度的火力減少...洋基目前能夠承受受傷的先發大概是老
Bernie吧

Let's look at some doomsday possibilities.. say... Posada gets hurt... the
Yans will immediately have a huge hole in their line up... let's not even go to
realizing that if Crosby have to replace Damon or if Phillips has to replace any
of the A-Rod/Giambi/Sheff/Matsui combos... and if Migual Cario must sub for
Jeter...

讓我們來看看最恐怖的問題吧，萬一...Posada 受傷...洋基的打線馬上就出現一個大洞。
更別說如果Crosby 得要代替Damon 或是 Phillips得要代替 A-rod/Giambi/SHeff/Matsui
等等.. 萬一Cairo還得代替Jeter的話...

Carrying a fielding lineup of old 7 30+ players (and espically Sheffield...) is a
pretty big risk.. the Yanks got off lucky last year.. will they get off this
year also?

有七個超過三十歲的先發野手風險頗大， (尤其Sheffield...)洋基去年頗為幸運...今年
也會嗎?
