"Robby. Wow! The kid's going to be OK," Johnny Damon deadpanned after the latest display by the Yankees' second-year second baseman. Cano matched his career high with five RBIs, including a long three-run homer in the eighth inning of the Yankees' third straight victory over the Red Sox, this one by a 13-5 margin. Cano has been the Yankees' top run producer in this series with 10 RBIs. In addition to his home run yesterday, Cano singled in a run in the third and walked with the bases loaded in the sixth. His two-run single in the seventh inning Friday afternoon was the big blow in a four-run seventh that broke open a close game in the Yankees' 12-4 triumph, and he contributed another two-run single in the seven-run seventh that catapulted the Yankees past Boston on Friday night, 14-11. "I'm just looking to swing at strikes," said Cano, normally a free-swinger but apparently learning some patience from watching pitch-count machines such as Damon, Bobby Abreu and Jason Giambi. "When you walk a lot of players, somebody will do some damage." That was true yesterday as Cano walked twice and the Yankees drew 13 walks, eight of which came around to score. But since being reinstated from the disabled list after missing six weeks with a hamstring injury, Cano has been the one inflicting much of the damage. Cano is 19-for-53 (.358) with four homers and 17 RBIs in the 13 games since his return. "I feel like I'm helping the team right now," Cano said. "I was thinking about what would happen when I came back. But I feel good. Not stronger, really, but I have a lot of energy. I rested for six weeks, you know?" He's not resting now. Any thoughts of a late-inning comeback by the Red Sox were crushed when Cano crushed a pitch from reliever Jermaine Van Buren, just recalled from the minors yesterday, into the far-away vacant dark seats beyond the high green wall in centerfield. "We're having a lot of fun," Cano said. Of his eighth home run, Cano said, "I was just trying to make a good swing and get the guys in [from second and third]." Good swings and good results have been an everyday occurrence for Cano, now batting .330. 有點老的文章.. 但..... 至少最近Cano 確實偶爾有比較等比較多球的時候XDD... 而且 RISP 打擊也好多了... -- My blog http://www.yankeewave.blogspot.com 超級老人球!! 1.
