YANKS WILL ADD FOUR TO ROSTER The Yankees will promote three players when
rosters expand today: catcher Wil Nieves and relievers T. J. Beam and Jose
Veras. A fourth will arrive Sunday, when Darrell Rasner joins the Yankees to
start against Minnesota.

Rasner pitched for the Yankees on June 1 before missing more than two months
with a shoulder injury. He worked six innings for Class AAA Columbus on
Monday and has started once in the majors, for Washington last September.

由此次由小聯盟拉上來的Darrell Rasner先發對上雙城隊, Dasner先前因肩傷進到DL。


CANo IS CENTER OF CHILDREN’S BOOK Second baseman Robinson Cano is a main
character in “The Boy of Steel,” a children’s book released Wednesday that
was written by Ray Negron, an adviser to the Yankees’ principal owner,
George Steinbrenner.

Negron said the book was an outgrowth of a visit he made with Cano to
children who have cancer. Proceeds from the book will go to the Yankees’
 charitable foundation.

“He didn’t even realize the power he possesses in dealing with these
children,” Negron said of Cano. “I took that day in his life, and the
incredible things that happened between him and several of these kids, and
followed it through.”

Negron said he gave the book to the hockey great Wayne Gretzky, who attended
yesterday’s game with his son.

Cano真的越來越紅了, 週三上市的一本由Ray Negron寫的童書 "鋼鐵男孩" ("The Boy
of Steel", Cano是裡面的一個主要角色。這本書是將Cano探望癌症病童的過程加以延
伸。
