05年要開打以前...美聯東區prospect焦點都會放在紅襪的Lester Hansen Papelbon...
幾乎都沒聽到Wang Cano Melky這幾個名字...而且洋基農場還常被笑積弱不振...
可是現在來看...事情並不像當初所想的這麼一回事...這兩年農場上來都表現不凡...
雖然有了這三個好選手...但好選手真的不嫌多...再來看看未來的幾個投手吧...

The story is being played out right in front of us. The Yankees are getting
younger and better by the seasons past. Chien-Ming Wang is an " Ace ".
Robinson Cano is one of the best young hitters in the Majors. Melky Cabrera
is proven himself as a top of the line prospect. The thing is in 07 their may
be an overload of young talent the Yankees will have to consider finding
spots for.

Philip Hughes - Age: 20 - 6"5 - 220
2006 Stats: IP: 146.0 ERA: 2.16 W: 12 L: 6 BB: 32 SO: 138
Will Hughes be a Yankee by next season, Likely. Will Hughes be a Yankee in
the future, Yes. The Yankees and all of Baseball see the talent that is
Philip Hughes. Hughes is the Yankees " Ace " of years to come.

Tyler Clippard - Age: 21 - 6"2 - 170
2006 Stats: IP: 166.1 ERA: 3.35 W: 12 L: 10 BB: 55 SO: 175
Clippard is the second best Yankees SP prospect behind Philip Hughes.
Clippard has proved the critics wrong that he cannot handle Double-A. With a
no-hitter added to his resume T-Clip is coming to the Bronx soon.

Jeff Karstens - Age: 23 - 6"3 - 170
2006 Stats ( Minors ) IP: 147.2 ERA: 3.29 W: 11 L: 5 BB: 44 SO: 115
2006 Stats ( Majors ) IP: 18.2 ERA: 3.86 W: 1 L: 1 BB: 5 SO: 4
Talk has already begun about Karstens taking over Jaret Wright's 5th spot in
the Yankees rotation. Karstens has showed the Yankees in three Major League
starts he is ready to take off. Karstens is the most likely out of all these
pitchers to get the first call to the rotation due to his early success this
season.

Darrell Rasner - Age: 25 - 6"3 - 210
2006 Stats ( Minors ) IP: 71.2 ERA: 2.89 W: 4 L: 0 BB: 15 SP: 59
2006 Stats ( Majors ) IP: 7.2 ERA: 1.17 W: 1 L: 0 BB: 0 SO: 3
Rasner who won his first start today as a Yankee is not likely to hold onto a
starters role with New York. If Rasner is to become a Yankee it will be out
of the pen in long-relief.

James Brent Cox - Age: 22 - 6"3 - 205
2006 Stats: IP: 77.0 ERA: 1.75 W: 5 L: 2 BB: 24 SO: 60
Cox is the best RP prospect for New York. Cox has a Randy Johnson like slider
from the right side. Some say Cox is the successor to Mariano Rivera some say
he is not, But all say how good he should be.

Brian Bruney - Age: 24 - 6"2 - 245
2006 Stats ( Minors ) IP: 14.1 ERA: 3.14 W: 1 L: 1 BB: 8 SO: 22
2006 Stats ( Majors ) IP: 7.0 ERA: 1.29 W: 0 L: 1 BB: 5 SO: 11
Bruney is a power arm for New York. The only knock against him is his
off-speed pitches. He has a solid slider and a solid change-up. The only
problem is he cannot throw these pitches for strikes. This is something that
could be an easy fix.
ETA: 2006 - Early 07

The Yankees have a lot of questions and fixes they will have to make final
decisions on. Lets play out this season and see what the team looks like in
2007.
