Many names have been flying around regarding the 2006 Designated Hitter. Let
me be the first to say, that I feel the DH spot was a killer for us last year.
We had guys DHing, who couldn't hit to save their lives, (ie. Bubba and
Phillips).

許多人的名字,出現在2006年可能的指定打擊位置,這麼說好了,去年指定打擊是我們的
一大缺失!今年我們有DH,但我們沒辦法排出致命一擊的選手(像Crosby跟Phillips)

The Yankees organization seems to feel that the DH spot is a place to put just
random hitters, which I totally diasgree with. The DH spot is one that is very
important to a lineup, day in and day out.

整個洋基隊似乎認為,DH是隨意放一個球員上去都可以的位置,但我卻不這麼認同,DH將會
在整個Lineup當中,逐漸扮演重要的角色.

Here is my outlook on things. As of now the Yankees have an overloaded bullpen
with guys who are basically impossible to ship to Columbus. Our bullpen, as it
stands, consists of Sturtze, Myers, Villone, Farnsworth, Rivera, and two of
the starters who do not make the rotation. That gives us 7 pitchers in the pen
, not including Dotel, who will most likely start the season on the DL. That's
12 pitchers (including the 5 man rotation). Whether Torre starts the season
off with 11 or 12 pitchers, has yet to be determined.

我的看法是,現在洋基有著擁擠的牛棚,這些人幾乎不可能送到小聯盟哥倫布隊.牛棚裡頭
像是Sturtze, Myers, Villone, Farnsworth, Rivera跟兩個不在輪值的先發投手,這樣
算來總共七個人在牛棚,這還不包括開季會在傷兵名單的Dotel, 加上五名先發輪值下來共
有十二個投手,目前Torre還沒確定開季名單要派十一名還是十二名投手.

But let's say we do begin the season with 12 pitchers. That gives us 12
pitchers, 8 position players and 5 bench players to make a 25 man roster.
Right now the bench is shaping up to be Stinnett, Phillips, a utility
infielder, Williams, and Crosby.

就當作開季是十二名投手好了, 剩下來的就是八個先發守備位置及五個板凳組成二十五人
名單,而現在板凳上有的人是內野的Stinnett, Phillips跟外野的Williams, Crosby.

But wait...where is the DH?? There is no room for a DH? What on earth should
we do? Don't worry, we have 4 DHs! ou may be asking your self who these 4 DHs
are, and how we can carry them all. Well that's easy, they are already on the
roster. Although I support the signing of Bernie, he is better suited as a
pinch hitter, than a full time DH, although he should see time at DH as well.
Then who are the other 3? Well they are none other than Matsui, Sheffield,
and Giambi.

可是指定打擊呢?我們該怎麼辦?有了這四個可以擔任指定打擊?我們要如何處理這樣的名
單呢?雖然我支持簽回Bernie,但他適合的是代打,而不是全職的DH.那其他三個人呢?這些
當DH的球員沒有一個可跟松井秀喜,Sheffield,Giambi相比.

As a DH, Matsui saw 71 AB. In those ABs, Matsui hit .338, 6 HRs, and drove in
21. He also held a .415 OBP and 1.091OPS

松井秀喜打DH,71個打數,打擊率.338,六支全壘打,21分打點,上壘率.415,OPS 1.091

As a DH, Sheffield saw 93 AB.In those ABs, Sheff hit .312, 7 HR, and drove in
24. He also held a .385 OBP and .955 OPS

Sadly, Giambi was awful while playing DH compared to the field. Giambi hit
.209, 8 HRs, and 22 RBI in 177 AB, but with the organization obviously
questioning his defense, Giambi will see games at DH, hopefully not as much
as Matsui and Sheff.

但是Giambi的指定打擊成績就沒這麼好看了,打擊率.209,八支全壘打,22分打點,而這些
是在177個打數中,他的防守比較讓人擔心,希望他在DH不會像松井及Sheff一樣多.

There you have it, with Matsui's determination to play 162 games a year to
keep his streak alive and Sheff's declining range in RF (ZR was .820 in 2005,
down from .856 in 2004. His RF also dropped .15) , we will see them in the DH
role more often in 2006.

當松井要維持每年全勤162場比賽,及Sheff右外野守備的範圍,我們將會在2006年看到
他們兩個時常出現在DH位置中.

看很多地方都寫,看能不能透過自由球員或交易拿到需要的DH球員,
自由球員像Mike Piazza, Frank Thomas...
還有就是把多出來的先發投手跟一些國聯球隊交易想打DH的球員,
可是這樣又得花了一筆錢,而且有很大的可能會是一筆冤枉錢.

但這裡卻認為明年DH會由這樣豪華的陣容當中輪替擔任,
覺得這樣寫的很對,畢竟Bernie持續擔任先發不洽當,而且我們的球員也是有些守備問題,
沒有專職的DH,而採用輪值的方式應該對洋基比較妥當...
就讓松井秀喜,Gary Sheffield,Jason Giambi甚至Posada,Bernie這些人來輪流打吧...

還有三個多月才開打,中間應該還會有一些變動吧,靜觀其變吧...
