EINDHOVEN, Netherlands (AP)—
PSV Eindhoven defender Kevin Hofland is ready to return to the team
after missing most of last season with an injured ankle, PSV said Friday.
Hofland, who also plays on the Dutch national team, injured his right
ankle during a Champions League match against Arsenal in September.
He returned briefly in October, but continued to have pain in the ankle
and eventually underwent two operations to fix it. In December, doctors
removed damaged cartilage and in April they repaired a torn ligament.
