Although Dutch international defender Jaap Stam has insisted he has no
intentions of making a return to the Premier League, Manchester City
boss Kevin Keegan is determined to bring Jaap Stam back to England.
Stam is currently in conflict with his present club Lazio and criticized
the club this week over their revised contract offer and has stated that
he will quit the club in the summer. Juventus or AC Milan are regarded as
favorites to bag the ex-Manchester United star but Manchester City boss
Keegan is also prepared to enter the race.
Stam's agent still insists the player isn't interested in returning to
England, but Keegan and also Newcastle boss Sir Bobby Robson will table
offers when the summer transfer window opens.
