Manchester United striker Ruud van Nistelrooy has been voted the World's 5th
best player by the Fifa in their World Player Of The Year awards, with
Zinedine Zidane pipping Thierry Henry and Ronaldo to land the prize.
The awards are a reflection of the international team coaches who are allowed
a vote. England boss Sven Goran Eriksson voted for Real Madrid's Brazilian
defender Roberto Carlos as his selection for the award, with
Ruud van Nistelrooy second and Michael Ballack third.
